What cutting-edge innovations in your product offerings are enabling the construction of large-scale and complex infrastructure projects?

At Terex India, our cutting-edge innovations drive efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness in the construction of large-scale and complex infrastructure projects. Our hybrid machines in the Powerscreen and Finlay track range reduce fuel consumption and emissions, enabling customers to achieve up to 40% savings in operational costs while boosting productivity.

Our advanced screening technology ensures superior product quality and increased throughput which is crucial for producing high-quality sand and aggregates. These innovations reduce operational costs by allowing one machine to perform the work of multiple units, minimizing fuel consumption and labour requirements. For instance, where competitor machines might require two operators for the same workload, our technology enables a single operator to handle it efficiently, delivering both productivity and cost savings.

Our jaw crushers from Terex MPS, with capacities up to 1500 TPH, are designed for minimal maintenance and versatile applications, including sand and aggregate production. Indigenized models up to 600 TPH are tailored to meet local infrastructure demands.

In addition, Terex Washing Systems offers innovative solutions for maximizing resource utilization. If you have a pile of unusable crusher dust, our recently launched FM120 Pentium Max can transform that waste into high-quality sand that meets market standards, enhancing profitability.

These innovations reinforce our role as a trusted partner, empowering customers to execute complex projects with precision, efficiency, and sustainability while ensuring the availability of cost-effective sand and aggregates for infrastructure development.

How is your company leveraging advancements such as AI, IoT, and autonomous systems to improve operational efficiency, safety, and project timelines?

At Terex India, we are driving advancements in AI, IoT, and telematics to enhance operational efficiency and safety, and meet project timelines. A prime example is our just launched "Ask Terex" for Powerscreen equipment. This innovative AI-powered assistant provides real-time solutions to operational queries, empowering operators with instant insights and decision-making capabilities. This tool enhances productivity and reduces downtime by addressing potential issues on-site without delays.

As pioneers in integrating telematics into our tracked mobile equipment, we provide customers with real-time data on machine performance, production, and vital parameters. This system supports predictive maintenance, enabling timely servicing and parts replacement to minimize downtime, especially for large fleets operating across multiple sites. Our telematics solutions go beyond basic data, offering actionable insights like fuel consumption and machine usage reports, enhancing fleet management, and reducing lifecycle costs. Additionally, digital tools across our distribution network ensure seamless inventory management, enabling faster parts availability and improving machine uptime.

Through these cutting-edge technologies, Terex India is setting new benchmarks in efficiency, safety, and operational excellence, helping customers achieve their goals with confidence and precision.

How is your company innovating to reduce energy consumption, minimize emissions, and incorporate green technology in its equipment?

Sustainability is at the heart of our innovation strategy. A prime example is the Terex Ecotec TTS 620i Trommel, which was unveiled at this year’s IFAT show. This machine enhances waste segregation efficiency, making it ideal for compost, biomass, soil, gravel, and other waste screening applications. With its tracked design and robust construction, the TTS 620i is built to withstand tough conditions, offering superior mobility and stability on uneven terrain, especially in challenging Indian waste sites. It also features dual power technology, allowing for external power operation or on-board engine use, providing energy flexibility and reducing operational costs.

Launching at this bauma India is our EvoQuip Cobra 290R impact crusher that plays a pivotal role in transforming steel slag into valuable materials for road construction. Its efficiency in converting blast furnace slag into reusable aggregates reduces environmental impact and supports sustainable construction practices. Like our trommel, the Cobra 290R offers mobility, ease of operation, and fuel efficiency, minimizing operational costs while promoting material recovery and recycling.

As previously mentioned, our hybrid machines, equipped with dual power capabilities, allow customers to switch between onboard diesel generators and mains electricity, reducing fuel consumption and cutting CO2 emissions. We are also advancing fully electric machines that deliver zero-emission operations, meeting modern environmental standards while maintaining high performance.

We focus on equipment longevity through our refurbishment facilities, which help extend the lifespan of machines and reduce the need for new resources, supporting long-term sustainability.

These innovations highlight our commit- ment to reducing energy consumption, minimizing emissions, and providing cost-effective, green solutions for our customers.

How does the company differentiate its products and services in the highly competitive export markets?

We differentiate our products and services in global markets by focusing on innovation, customization, and robust support systems. Our products are designed with local requirements and regulations in mind, ensuring they meet diverse market needs. For example, our Terex MPS MTJ55 modular jaw crusher, launching at bauma India this year, is tailored for regions like Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, offering high throughput and cost-effectiveness.

We integrate advanced technologies such as telematics for fleet management, helping customers reduce operational costs and improve efficiency. To overcome barriers like price competitiveness and tariffs, we optimize our manufacturing processes and logistics, ensuring timely delivery at competitive prices. Through strategic partnerships and local collaborations, we navigate local content regulations while providing exceptional after-sales support to build customer trust and enhance market presence.

How is your company optimizing manufacturing processes and addressing supply chain issues?

We continuously optimize manufacturing processes by implementing lean manufacturing practices, reducing waste and improving efficiency. Our investment in automation and advanced production technologies ensures consistent quality while minimizing operational costs. To address supply chain challenges, we prioritize strong relationships with reliable suppliers and partners, ensuring a steady flow of materials. We also leverage our global network to source cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards and timely delivery. These innovations and strategic partnerships allow us to keep costs competitive without compromising on quality or customer satisfaction.

How can the industry-government partnership improve to streamline business operations and foster innovation, and what policy change would you recommend to enhance the global competitiveness of India’s construction equipment sector?

Strengthening the industry-government partnership through consistent dialogue, regulatory support, and incentivizing R&D initiatives, can help address the industry's evolving needs. To enhance the global competitiveness of the construction equipment sector, we recommend two key policy reforms: first, the simplification and digitization of compliance and regulatory processes to reduce delays and increase efficiency. Second, offering targeted incentives for technological innovation and green technology adoption. These reforms would not only drive operational excellence but also position India as a leader in sustainable, high-performance construction equipment manufacturing.
