How is Sinoboom adapting its products to Indian operating conditions?

Safety and adaptability are central to Sinoboom’s engineering philosophy, particularly in response to India’s varied site conditions and operating environments. All Sinoboom platforms are designed in compliance with ANSI and CE standards. Our slab scissor lifts, for instance, are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, with a simple switch that automatically reduces maximum working height in outdoor mode to account for wind and stability factors, which is in line with global safety regulations.

We also place strong emphasis on operator visibility and manoeuvrability on congested job sites. Our scissor lifts allow platform controls to be positioned on either the left or right side, enabling operators to eliminate blind spots and safely navigate around site hazards such as drains, edges, or uneven boundaries.

For boom lifts, Sinoboom has introduced patented anti-slip technology for gradient climbing, addressing the cantilever effect of the boom that can otherwise create sudden upward movement and fall risks. This is complemented by our full active oscillation drive, which ensures all four wheels remain in constant contact with uneven ground, significantly improving stability and safety on challenging Indian terrains.

Which application segments and customer profiles are emerging as the strongest growth drivers for MEWPs in India, and how is Sinoboom aligning its product portfolio to meet evolving requirements related to performance?

Sinoboom-TB42ERJN-Plus
The strongest growth in India’s MEWP market is being driven by construction and infrastructure contractors, particularly those involved in high-rise buildings, transportation projects, and utilities. Industrial and facility maintenance customers—such as airports, manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, and power facilities—are also emerging as key demand drivers. Rental companies also play a critical role, as they continue to expand their fleets to support short-term projects and multi-site operations.

To address these evolving needs, Sinoboom is offering a broad and modular product portfolio that allows a single fleet to serve multiple applications, providing flexibility for both end-users and rental companies. The company is expanding its electric and hybrid offerings to meet indoor, urban, and sustainability-driven requirements, while continuously enhancing safety systems, platform capacities, and duty cycles to suit demanding industrial environments. At the same time, Sinoboom ensures that its machines deliver robust performance combined with ease of operation—an important consideration in the Indian operating context. This approach enables Sinoboom to support both end-users and rental partners with scalable, future-ready solutions.

From a technology perspective, what differentiates Sinoboom platforms in areas such as working height, load capacity, gradeability, power options, and adaptability to Indian terrain and climatic conditions?

As China’s pioneer in the MEWP sector, Sinoboom differentiates itself through advanced engineering, high safety standards, and industry-leading power solutions. In terms of performance and adaptability, Sinoboom offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of electric boom lifts in the industry, including 100% lithium-powered electric booms with working heights of up to 42 meters. These machines can be equipped with a modular range extender, which can be installed in under 30 minutes, enabling uninterrupted operation at job sites where charging infrastructure is limited.

Sinoboom’s electric boom lifts feature fast-charging capability of under 3.5 hours and are designed with both auto and manual charging modes. When operating in auto mode, the range extender activates once the battery level drops to 30%, charging the battery while the machine remains in use. This solution is silent, environmentally friendly, and highly suited for urban, indoor, and noise-sensitive applications.

How is Sinoboom meeting demand for electric and low-emission solutions?

Globally and in India, interest in Sinoboom’s electric boom platforms is growing rapidly, reflecting the industry’s shift toward low-emission and sustainable access solutions. Sinoboom continues to invest in innovation in this area to support green initiatives across all markets in which it operates.

Urban construction, indoor maintenance, and sustainability commitments are accelerating demand for electric machines. We offer 100% electric, lithium-powered booms up to 42 metres, which is one of the most advanced electric portfolios in the industry.

At the same time, we recognise the practical challenges on job sites. That is why we developed a modular range extender that can be installed in less than 30 minutes. In auto mode, it activates when battery levels fall to 30% and charges the machine silently while it continues operating. Fast charging in under 3.5 hours ensures productivity without compromise.

Sinoboom’s hybrid solutions and range extenders ensure customers can transition toward electrification without sacrificing uptime or flexibility. This balanced approach supports both current market realities and future regulatory expectations.
