JCB India Launches Largest 52-Ton Excavator; Showcases 10+ Technologically Advanced Products

JCB India’s line-up of technologically advanced machines and digital solutions included enhanced backhoe loaders, the new excavator range, and several industry-first solutions. The new line-up highlighted the JCB 520X LC Excavator, JCB’s largest excavator manufactured in India for both domestic and global export markets. It also marks JCB’s entry into the 52-tonne excavator category, delivering an operating weight of 52.8 tonnes that reinforces its position as a true heavy-duty machine built for large-scale excavation.

Designed for high productivity, reliability, and efficiency, the 520X LC is powered by a 400 HP engine and can be equipped with up to a 3.4 cubic meter bucket, enabling faster output and superior material handling. Its latest- generation hydraulic pump and advanced control valve technology significantly improve operating efficiency, ensuring lower running costs over the machine's lifecycle. To further strengthen customer value, JCB is offering a customized full maintenance contract of up to 30,000 hours, ensuring uninterrupted performance even in the most demanding work environments.

JCB’s launch showcase included the JCB 3DX Super Backhoe with an all-new cabin, prioritising comfort and safety; the JCB 4DX Backhoe Loader featuring a front display unit that provides real-time error codes and system alerts; the JCB 540-180 Telehandler with a reach height of 18 meters and a 4-ton load capacity; the JCB Agrimax which marks the company’s strategic entry into the agriculture segment; the JCB 81 Eco Excavator upgraded to deliver 15% improved fuel efficiency; the JCB NXT 150 Excavator featuring IntelliFlow Hydraulics, delivering 8% higher fuel efficiency, and a Power Boost Feature that increases hydraulic force by up to 9% on demand; the JCB 290 LR Excavator that delivers an impressive 57-foot digging depth in large-scale excavations, is equipped with EcoHydraulics, IntelliControl, and powered by an inline fuel-injection system.

Other products displayed were the JCB 30Z Mini Excavator featuring a zero-tail-swing design, enables effortless maneuverability and safe operation in highly confined workspaces, with a 1550 mm track width for optimal stability during operation; the JCB VMT 300 Stage V–compliant compactor engineered for superior performance and delivered without the need for an after-treatment system, with an in-line fuel injection technology that makes it highly suitable for remote and challenging work sites, offering 20% better fuel efficiency, while its 1200 mm drum width and a 60 mm offset feature enables faster and more precise compaction.

At EXCON 2025, JCB expanded its hydrogen portfolio with the launch of a hydrogen-powered genset, marking another milestone in the transition toward clean energy solutions. Deepak Shetty shared, “The world is embracing hydrogen at an unprecedented speed. When the time comes, JCB is fully prepared to empower our nation’s infrastructure growth with technology that is both sustainable and future ready.”

JCB India also launched its Parts Online portal, an E-commerce Platform that offers customers instant access to a comprehensive catalogue of JCB parts and a faster and informed purchase experience. The company also showcased its next-generation telematics designed to maximise uptime, enhance machine health visibility, and deliver real-time operational insights. Its newly launched Operator App empowers operators to proactively maintain machine health and reduced downtime.

With a network of 700+ dealer outlets across India, JCB ensures that customers receive timely service wherever their operations may be. Five strategically located parts warehouses stocking over 40,000 unique spare parts, enable maximum availability and minimal downtime. This network is supported by 300+ service vans, 183 parts vans, fully equipped Workshop-on-Wheels units, and a growing team of 6,000+ trained service engineers and 3,500+ mobile service engineers.
