What sustainability measures is the company taking to reduce energy consumption, minimize emissions, and incorporate green technology into its products?
Tadano Green Solutions aim to contribute to a better global environment through its products, services, and business activities. We’ve set ambitious, short-term goals to reduce CO2 and have begun optimizing our infrastructure and supply chain to further reduce our environmental impact. By changing the designs of our products and improving business processes and operations, we can certainly limit our carbon footprint, today and tomorrow.
The company has introduced the first fully electric rough terrain crane - the new EVOLT eGR-1000XLL-1 which delivers the same powerful lifting capability as the GR-1000XLL-4 (Tadano’s 100-ton rough-terrain stalwart), but in a quieter, zero-emissions package.
The equipment rental industry, particularly in the material handling segment, is growing rapidly, but often faces challenges like low rental rates and payment issues, making premium brands like Tadano inaccessible for many. What is your perspective on this?
Rental companies are concentrating only on the initial cost, but we would advise them to consider factors like operation and maintenance, ease of operation, less downtime, strong load chart, reliability, safety, and, of course, high resale value of their equipment.
India is a price sensitive market and since Tadano products, being premium, we have to face challenges from competing manufacturers. However, we are supplying our RT cranes to both public and private sectors and currently have a sizable market share, which we aim to increase. Tadano also has a used crane unit for refurbishing and selling cranes across the world.
