Please introduce your company to our readers, its association with Sarens group of companies, Indian operations important business areas and industrial segments being served at present.
Sarens group is operating worldwide in more than 30 countries and has gained expertise and specialization in dealing with crane work. Sarens Heavy Lift India Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Sarens Belgium. It started its Indian operations in Q4 of 2009 and serving customers in sectors like steel, petrochemical, power, cement, metals & minerals, and so on.

Please elaborate on your impressive inventory of equipment and machines and plans to have more advanced equipment for erection and heavy lifting projects.
We have around 25 machines in India which include crawler cranes from 200 ton-1200 ton capacity and are planning to add SPMT (Self- propelled modular trailors) in near future. Our task is to start transport of heavy goods of above 100 ton capacity in India along with heavy erection jobs.

How do you foresee the market for your specialization in the emerging infrastructure development scenario and your marketing plans to establish yourself on sound footing?
heavy lifting solutions
There is a tremendous potential in India for power generation/petro chemical products, steel, cement etc. We are world leaders in providing total lifting solutions along with the equipment within stipulated time frame of projects. Our expertise is to offer heavy lifting with minimum capacity of crane, which will optimize the total cost of the project.

How do you look at the future of Sarens Heavy lift India in the next 4-5 years from now?
Power is the basic need of the country. Success of power is based on nuclear power, which clearly implies that whosoever is capable of erecting nuclear power plants will have good future prospects in the country for another 10 years. Hence we feel that we will lead the erection of nuclear power plants in India.

As a specialist in erection, transportation and handling of heavy goods, can you enumerate a few success stories on the deploment of equipment and services?
There is always a synergy between erection and heavy goods transportation jobs. Big size crawler cranes need more than 100 trailors for transportation. Hence single party which can handle heavy transportation with heavier erection will prove to be economical to the contractor.

What about training and retraining of personnel so as to keep them abreast with global development in quality, safety, engineering and maintenance field. What sort of systems are in place in the company ensuring that they continue to serve the clients with state-of–the-art solutions and techniques?
Training is a key to success. We had highly specialized crane operators who are our pilots & who can do miracles by crane applications. We provide them training in our head office which is at Belgium.
