Ajay Tripathi, Director and Kamlesh Patel, Head-Operations
We are very optimistic that our strategy of positioning the company as a total solutions provider will create a strong brand recall in the marketplace and help drive business more aggressively, say Ajay Tripathi, Director and Kamlesh Patel, Head-Operations, Nilang Asphalt Equipments.

What are the company’s range of product offerings and how is it positioning itself as a total solutions provider?
Nilang Asphalt’s core product line is its ABP series of asphalt batch mix plants of 60 to 260 tph capacity, drum mix plants of 45 to 150 tph capacity, counter flow drum mix plants, bitumen decanters, and truck-mounted bitumen sprayers. The company also has the engineering expertise to produce 20-45 cum/hr concrete batch mix plants and wet mix plants.

With our broad product portfolio, we will promote our concreting solutions, asphalt batch mix plants and allied products as a total solutions provider. We will market our product offerings as packaged solutions to mid-level contractors involved in constructing concrete roads, bridges, and irrigation canals, and will also target the big contractors.

Ajay Tripathi, Director and Kamlesh Patel, Head-Operations

What are the major features of Nilang’s 260-tph asphalt batch mix plant?
The 260 tph asphalt batch mix plant has been designed to deliver the rated throughput with minimum operating costs. There is a provision for larger bitumen storage capacity, and an aggregates bin storage, A high pressurized modulating burner makes the plant highly flexible in using various fuels such as diesel, LDO, and even the spurious grade of fuels.

Its newly designed six-deck screens and mixers ensure a homogenous mix of asphalt. The plant is fully RAP-enabled and comes with a bigger bag house filtration area for reducing dust when the asphalt is being processed. Since the plant is modular in design and compact, it can be transported easily to project sites on a lesser number of truck trailers, and installed/dismantled fast.

What factors are giving the company a competitive edge in the marketplace?
Our competence in offering reliable concrete and asphalt solutions in a sustained manner is creating a brand recall in the marketplace. We owe this to our integrated, in-house production, which enables us to monitor the quality of our products closely. We have comprehensive testing facilities for our asphalt batch mix plants and their components, especially for our low pressure burners to provide the right levels of air to fuel ratio, so as to perform the right levels of combustion during its operations.

We are producing twin shaft, pan, and planetary mixers fitted with components of reputed manufacturers which undergo less wear and tear. By using only high-end materials and processes, we are offering reliable solutions for asphalt-based road construction projects and for concreting. We have recently delivered one unit of our 260 tph asphalt batch mix plant to a major road construction project in Rajasthan. Our in-house developed burners provide the right air to fuel ratio for combustion in the asphalt batch mix plants.

What is Nilang’s strategy to drive business?
We are very optimistic that the company’s strategy of positioning itself as a total solutions provider will enable it to drive business more aggressively. We are also expecting higher sales of our newly developed 260 tph asphalt batch mix plant which is being targeted for big road contractors working on time-bound long stretches of roads and highways.

Nilang is also looking to drive business through its specialized ‘Mastic’ asphalt batch mix plants, which produce asphalt suitable for bridge decks, highways, city mastic roads, and for industrial floorings. Using different kinds of recipes, Mastic Asphalt can be adjusted to suit a wide range of construction applications. The asphalt produced is impermeable (no voids) which means that no compaction is required to achieve the final hardness of the layer.

Besides banking on its advanced products and competitive production capabilities, Nilang is expanding its customer services to include retrofitting / reconditioning of asphalt batch mix plants, and conversion of drum mix to batch mix plant. The company has, till date, installed 140+ units of asphalt batch mix, drum mix & other plants and is supported by a pan India service network.
