Siddhivinayak Engineering Company Enhancing Production Capabilities

How is the company working on its capacity expansion plans?
We are broadening our product offerings as part of our business expansion plan, but we will first evaluate the viability of the new machines based on market demand before we start full-fledged commercial production. Last year, we had finalized plans to start production of mechanical asphalt pavers and 30 cum concrete batch mix plants but had to abort them because of the volatility in the market. Plus, there was too much competition in this product segment.
For asphalt batch mix plants, the ARAI registration based on engine rating, and the higher cost of raw materials, were escalating the price of the machines due to which demand had dipped. We will now gauge the performance of 100 hp engines fitted into pavers and the overall performance of the machines before we move ahead with production.
How is the company planning to widen its production output of machines?
We have acquired land adjacent to our facility at Visnagar in Mehsana District of Gujarat to increase the production. We will be widening the production output of our existing products like kerb laying machines, kerb cutting machines, and possibly concrete batch mix plants and pavers as demand improves. We also produce boomers, concrete asphalt cutting, and kerb moulds for vibratory and for extrusion type machines, etc. All our machines are of sturdy construction and have high quality components and are competitively priced.
How do you ensure quality of the machines and after-sales support?
Our strength lies in doing constant R&D to improve the quality and performance of our machines. They are designed and produced to meet customer requirements. Project owners now demand high quality along with faster completion timelines with contractors adopting advanced construction technologies. We also assure our customers of timely delivery and prompt after-sales support and service by our engineers who visit customer jobsites to check the performance of the machines.

How is your company meeting the requirements of OEMs?
We are working closely with various OEMs, meeting their requirements and standards with a strong technical know-how and production capabilities. We are producing sheets for the asphalt pavers for many road construction OEMs. We are modifying the overall design of our kerb laying and cutting machines by using stronger sheets to improve their quality and durability; enabling easier towing of the machines on site, besides, improving the quality of the tracks and of the powder coating used on the surface of the machines for greater longevity, since machines are exposed to harsh working conditions. We will continue to promote and support the machines through our own channels.
