We expect demand for road construction / rehabilitation to continue for the next 3 years.
The last few years have been very good in regard to project awards for construction of roads. We expect this trend to continue with construction of 27 kms/day and the government working towards increasing this to 40 km/day. With the infrastructure development polices of the government, there is a lot of growth potential for the CE industry. The government’s ambitious plans to develop the road sector are being executed well, leading to increase in demand for road construction equipment. As market leaders in the road building and rehabilitation segment, we have benefitted from this demand. With the increasing number of projects being awarded, we expect demand to continue for the next three years.
Our agenda is to offer innovative products and technologies to help customers build better roads.
During the last few years, we did some expansions for the Vogele and Kleemann production at our Pune plant and we rolled out Kleemann screens for both the domestic market and for export to global markets. With demand picking up, we are increasing our production capacity for the Hamm rollers. On the Vogele front, we have commenced production of our 6 meter class of wheeled and tracked pavers of the Super Series. We have also invested in enhancing our after-market and sales support services. We expect a stable growth this year and our agenda is to offer innovative products and technologies to our customers which will help them to build better roads at an optimum cost.
