What cutting-edge paving solutions does Fayat offer under its Dynapac brand?
Dynapac has a wide range of highway pavers capable of paving from 9m to 13.25m working width. In order to enhance the productivity of these pavers where the demand of paving tons per day is high, we have introduced our globally renowned Material Feeder MF2500CS. It ensures smooth material flow as well as lower segregation, resulting in excellent paving quality.
The MF2500CS features a special hopper with mixers as well as fast loading capacity, using a wide rubber belt conveyor. The material feeder also comes with an optional swing feeder for side feeding. Our new high-capacity paving combination is designed to ensure early completion of project or ensure timely completion in areas where we have a short season.
Homogeneous mix: The 40-t combined material capacity, wide conveyor, and a large tunnel ensure bulk material transfer and the covers ensure that the mix stays hot. Limited number of transfer points reduce the risk of asphalt aging, which has a negative impact on the material and lifetime of the road.
Longer paving without stopping: Due to the variable skill levels of dump truck drivers in managing material flow, frequent disruptions occur with each start and stop of the paver, resulting in inconsistent material supply. These disruptions or 'bumps' caused by the dump truck drivers happen more frequently than the paver's normal pauses for material, leading to inefficiencies in the paving process. The use of a material feeder can mitigate this issue by providing a continuous, steady supply of material, reducing the impact of such interruptions and ensuring smoother operation.
Eliminating segregations, ensuring quality: One of the significant challenges in asphalt construction is the occurrence of thermal and physical segregations during the transport of hot mixes over long distances or uneven roads. Dynapac MF2500CS IMIX Feeder addresses this challenge by eliminating these segregations, ensuring that the asphalt mix remains homogeneous throughout its journey to the construction site.
MX Stage 1: The conical augers push the cold material from the outer area to the hot center. The shape of the conical augers feed portioned colder material to the main hot material stream.
MX Stage 2: The center flow divider splits the pre-homogenized material. High wear resistant augers combine the material to a homogeneous stream. Flexibility is a must for any paving project. Among the many advantages of this function is increased throughput for cold material like RCC, which is normally paved in thick layers and requires a lot of material. The auger at the end of the belt ensures that the particles are evenly distributed.
What product innovations has the company made to reduce energy consumption and minimize carbon emission?
Dynapac is ready with a full range of CEV V compliant Rollers and Pavers. These units come with emission levels that meet the stringent regulation of CEV V emission as well as the new safety norms. The rollers are also equipped with new ROPs/FOPs platform and an airconditioned cabin.
In view of the efficient eccentric as well as our close loop hydraulic system, we have been able to upgade the 10-t soil rollers with 74HP engine without need for adblue that saves cost as well as environmental impact.
Fuel Economy: One of the standout features of the CA245 is its exceptional fuel efficiency. The machine is designed to minimize fuel consumption, significantly reducing operational costs for rental contractors. This is achieved without compromising on compaction performance, making it an economically and environmentally sound choice.
AdBlue-Free Operations: Understanding the needs of rental contractors, the CA245 is engineered to operate without the need for AdBlue. This not only simplifies maintenance but also reduces the total cost of ownership, making it an attractive option for cost-conscious contractors.
Robust Engine and Drivetrain: The CA245 is powered by a fuel-efficient engine that delivers high torque, ensuring effective compaction even on challenging terrains. The drivetrain is designed to provide smooth and reliable operation, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.
Advanced Vibration System: Featuring Dynapac’s patented eccentric design, the CA245 offers high & low amplitude settings, allowing operators to adjust the compaction force according to the specific requirements of the project. This flexibility enhances the machine's versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
Operator Comfort and Safety: The ergonomic design of the operator cabin, combined with intuitive controls, ensures maximum comfort and ease of operation. Safety features such as seat switch (machine turns off when operator is off the seat), neutral start-up arrangement, comfortable seating, and enhanced visibility contribute to a secure working environment.
How is Fayat optimizing manufacturing processes and addressing supply chain issues?
We believe in staying with our well proven modular manufacturing process that enables us to meet the needs of all the markets with the most number of common parts. This essentially means we can operate with optimized stock of parts and make our suppliers life easy.
We have added state-of-the-art supply chain tools for demand projection to our suppliers that are connected to SAP for a dynamic forecast. We believe that the major parts of cost reduction will be driven by improving efficiency and ensuring that we produce more without increasing the input.
We focus on a global quality system which is ensured by the supplier development program for all our critical suppliers, along with process mapping and audit to avoid expensive mistakes, as well as keep a stable supply base. Our growing volume also keeps our suppliers’ working more efficiently.
How is Fayat supporting the MSMEs segment?
We have many suppliers from the MSME segment that is family owned, who are focused on driving competence in a particular area. We help in building their capability with our sourcing team as well as teams from our Competence Centre, who guide them in effectively monitoring the process. Our expanding product portfolio is also helping our MSME partners grow with us.
How can the government and industry work together to ensure that components are manufactured locally, and that vendors have the technological and financial capabilities to meet international benchmarks?
Dynapac India is a global supplier and is helping fulfill the needs of our sales channels worldwide. This also means we have to meet the global standards that would need certification processes needed to qualify the product. We feel that easy access to these tests with India-based agencies competent enough to handle the certification processes would be very helpful.
We are also going for the new General Safety Norms and if we align them with the global norms in the construction equipment industry, it will mean that we can certify our products in just one step. We also need our local manufacturers for components like engines, hydraulics, and electronic parts etc to meet the scope of products needed in international markets.
How can the industry-government partnership improve to streamline business operations and foster innovation?
We can excel in the world market if our government can support our export plans with easy-to-process imports of components for our export products through a simpler process. In addition, India due to its global exports, is also becoming a Regional Parts Support Centre for which we need to make it possible to import for re-export through easy documentation. This will enable our supply chain to be more cost effective for the regional supply of spare parts from India.
