The Wirtgen Group, world market leader in mobile road building and road rehabilitation technologies, recently completed its 20 years of operations in India. This milestone was celebrated by inviting customers and partners to visit the Pune plant to witness the Technology day and the official opening of their new plant for crushing and screening equipment. Mr. Stefan Wirtgen – President, Wirtgen Group and Mr. Ramesh Palagiri – Managing Director & CEO, Wirtgen India, inaugurated the new Plant.
Around 1200 customers, suppliers, and business partners attended the event, where an entire range of machines for the road and mineral technologies were showcased and also a live Demo for over one hour was conducted to showcase new generation of machines such as Cold Milling, Cold Recycling, Asphalt paving, Compaction, and also Crushing & Screening technologies. The event marked the rolling out of the first Kleemann Screen produced in India and also the 1000th Hamm Compactor from the plant.
The Guests had an exclusive look also at the newly enlarged factory where some of the Wirtgen group products are manufactured for the Indian market with the highest quality standards.
