With just few days left to unfold the show, the organizers as well as participants of Excon are quite busy in giving the final touch to their plans and launches.
Known as King of the construction equipment trade fairs in India, "Excon, as per Mr. Vipin Sondhi, Excon Chairman, has emerged as a platform where every manufacturer (global as well as domestic) exhibits his breakthrough products. The show offers an opportunity to the Exhibitors to connect with the end users, understand their business needs and develop world-class machinery. Excon is not just about product launches but it is also a platform where Component manufacturers get to showcase their technology to the rest of the world. Hence, this exhibition is an ideal forum to bring together businesses, customers, government bodies, and investors to showcase, inspire, and share products and solutions that will drive infrastructure growth."
Excon always provides a fantastic opportunity to manufacturers and leading brands to come and be a part of the promising business environment in India. This year, it is expected that over 850 exhibitors and 35,000 trade visitors will attend the show over a sprawling area of 2,20,000 sq.mt. (Gross Exhibition Area). Moreover, the show also expects participation from over 20 countries with pavilions from German, China, UK, Turkey, Finland, Italy, and South Korea.
This year, Excon, is themed around - "Build India - Invest in Development, A Shared Responsibility" which primarily reiterates industry's role and responsibility as a partner in national development. The focus is on four key enablers: Facilitating Growth and Competitiveness, Promoting Infrastructure Investments, Developing Human Capital, and Encouraging Social Development. Besides these, Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (iCEMA) is organizing a two-day conference around - Rebooting Infrastructure on the sidelines. Following the principal theme of Excon, the conference will focus on infrastructure development and industry growth, market opportunities, urban infrastructure, irrigation, etc. Multiple other conferences will also be organized covering topics like - bottlenecks in project execution and regulatory policies, ECE financing, Skill & Manpower Development, Smart City et al.
Like always, Excon 2015 will see the new technologies and launches from all the segments of CE including Heavy Lifting and Cranes, Earthmoving, Road Construction, Concrete, Component, and others. As usual, Cranes will steal the show, this year also with its impressive launches and cutting edge technologies.
Few companies have already announced about the debut of the machines to be made at the show while others have still kept it under curtains.

At Excon 2015, visitors to Manitowoc's booth will see two best-in-class cranes from Potain and Grove. In response to the growing Asian crane market, Manitowoc will showcase its Potain MCT 85 topless tower crane and Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane. The MCT 85 is gaining a reputation in the region for accelerating construction schedules and working well on job sites with tight space limitations. The GMK6300L is one of the world's best-selling cranes, due to its best-in-class boom length and capacity.
The MCT 85 is the successor to the MCi 85, one of Potain's most popular cranes of recent times. The new model has a higher free-standing height, increased working speed, simplified assembly, broad load curves and lower power consumption. It has a maximum jib length of 52 m and a tip load of 1.1 t, offering better operational versatility.
The MCT 85 is a practical unit designed for easier transportation, with its entire top portion able to travel on just two trucks. Assembly is easier too as most of the pre-assembly work happens at the factory before the crane is delivered to the customer. For example, the counterjib and towerhead are pre-assembled as a single component and can be erected in one piece. Connecting the jib is simplified through the use of rapid pin-connectors. This means the entire tower crane's upperworks is connected in just two sections.
The 300 t capacity Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane is one of Manitowoc's biggest success stories. It features a class-leading 80 m main boom and independent all-wheel steering. The cab is considered to be the most comfortable and advanced in the industry.
Besides offering exceptional reach, the crane is also relatively compact and offers excellent on-site flexibility with a choice of five available outrigger positions, more than any other crane in this capacity class. It also features Grove's unique MEGATRAK independent suspension, as well as all-wheel steer for easier navigation of job sites.
The Potain MCT 85 and the Grove GMK6300L cranes are designed and constructed to deliver maximum production and performance with minimum running cost.

Sany, a leading crane manufac- turer will introduce SPC400-40T Truck mounted Telescopic boom crane which will find its applications in the onshore oil fields, infrastructure projects, steel yards etc. The USPs of this crane are its rugged Indian AMW 'CC' chassis and power take off Indian Cummins engines for the ease of services' support.
Keeping the name of the machines, a secret until the show, Tadano has announced to unveil such new products at Excon which Indian users may have never seen before.

ElectroMech, the largest industrial overhead cranes manufacturer in India, will exhibit its offerings for the infrastructure construction Industry namely the gantry cranes in Single Girder and double Girder configurations which can be completely customized for SWL, span, lifting height, speeds and class of duty depending on the application. They can also be provided with multiple hoisting trolleys running on the same bridge or auxiliary hoisting mechanisms on the main trolley. Precise control of all motions is achieved through Variable Frequency Drives. Depending on the site requirement, power supply is through a cable reeling drum or an on board generator for outdoor gantry cranes.
In addition, Zoomlion ElectroMech in the outdoor area will also showcase Zoomlion's range of Tower cranes as well as Builders lifts. The range of Tower Crane will be 'Made for India' models for users in various sectors and industry verticals such as building construction, industrial & heavy construction, power, steel and cement plants. On display will also be a Zoomlion 5610 hammer head tower crane.
