CONEXPO Asia 2007 A Success
The CONEXPO Asia 2007 exposition was a great success, setting records for number of attendees and amount of exhibit space, as well as number of exhibitors. The show was held during December 4-7, 2007, at the Chinese Import and Export Fair (CIEF) Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, China. About 28,000 registered industry professionals from close to 100 countries attended CONEXPO Asia 2007, organised by the US-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).
CONEXPO Asia 2007 was more than doubled in size compared to 2006, with about 450 Chinese and international exhibitors in more than 100,000 square meters of space.
The show opening ceremony included China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Wei and other highranking dignitaries.
CONEXPO Asia 2007 offered a quality learning experience with exhibits of the latest construction Technologies and equipment live working equipment's demonstrations; extensive industry focused education sessions, and numerous industry meetings and events.
The success of CONEXPO Asia 2007 reflects the construction industry boom in the Asia Pacific region, and the mood was positive among attendees and exhibitors, notes the show organizers. The show’s management said, that it was pleased with the facilities at this year’s venue, the China Import and Export Fair-Pazhou complex in Guangzhou, the venue and dates for the next ConExpo Asia have not been finalized.
According to exhibition manager Petra Kaiser, the AEM is planning the next event for the autumn of 2009.
