
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 will be the unique international gathering place for the construction industries. Held every three years, the exposition showcases the latest equipment, products, services and technologies. It is the only place to go to see new construction equipment and technology for the Industry, reports Mariya Rasheeda.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 will provide a comprehensive education program during the five-day exposition with sessions emphasizing industry issues and trends, management and applied technology.
The event is recognized as an industry gathering place for the worldwide construction and construction materials industries. More than 300 industry meetings, including several annual conventions of industry associations, are expected to be held in conjunction with CONEXPO-CON/ AGG 2008.
An estimated 125,000 industry professionals from around the world are expected to attend and the co-located IFPE International Exposition for Power Transmission.
The exhibition attracts persons involved in all segments of the construction, aggregates and ready mixed concrete industries, including contractors, materials producers, and government and
Institutional sector officials from around the world.
Attendees and co-located IFPE expositions will find the latest equipment and product technologies and innovations to help solve their business challenges. Both shows will feature new and expanded education opportunities and a record amount of exhibit space. Most importantly, how organizers are committed to continuing the shows’ reputation for quality and service, to provide a positive show experience for all attendees and exhibitors.
On the Show Floor
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 will cover more than 2.28 million net square feet (212,024 square meters), taken by nearly 2,000 exhibitors, while IFPE exhibits cover 127,000 net square feet (11,7998 square meters) taken by 400 exhibitors.Show visitors will find the leading U.S and global manufacturers and service providers, who will be ready to discuss product features and applications to help attendees increase their productivity and their companies’ profitability.
The event as in past shows will have exhibitors grouped into product-concentration areas to help attendees more easily find the products and companies they’re most interested in. These product groupings are: aggregates, asphalt and compaction, concrete, earthmoving machinery and attachments, engines and components, information technology, trucks, utilities, lifting (aerial and cranes), associations/ industry events, drilling, safety and traffic, and trenching and shoring.
The show has signed on 10 international exhibit pavilions from Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
The mega show will also feature display of historical equipment throughout the show, illustrating the industry’s rich heritage and the show’s history from 1909 to the present.
It will again feature an Information Technology (IT)/ Management Pavilion designed to provide a comprehensive selection of the latest technology solutions that increase company productivity and efficiency in the office and in the field.
New show-floor additions will focus on industry safety training and the need for a qualified industry workforce.

Education is an important component of the CONEXPO-CON/ AGG and IFPE show experience. The CONEXPO-CON/AGG education program will offer more than 120 sessions delivered by industry experts with a focus on industry trends, case studies and “how to” application techniques and strategies.
A special free program on best practices for small fleet management will be held the last day of the show. The program will provide practical solutions for the specific fleet management needs of small business owners specializing in commercial, industrial and public construction. Also new for 2008 show additional seminar delivery methods are planned using electronic technologies such as podcasts to extend the show’s educational value to attendees.
A new Innovation and Solutions Center on the IFPE show floor is designed to extend the learning in the Technical Conference. Industry experts will offer insights into realworld solutions for current and future design applications as well as new research taking place at the Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power.

Lintec

Lintec will be exhibiting two containerised modules at the show - the twin shaft mixer and the control cabin; both housed in standard 20ft ISO sea containers. Each container is equipped with all the necessary electrical and mechanical connections. The internal components are predominately pre-wired and/or equipped with quick connectors.
The containerised control cabin features a full operator station incorporating the latest improved touch screen pc technology to control recipe mixes and production. The cabin also features windows allowing the operator direct visual contact with the delivery trucks and control direct loading if required. Lintec also produce a wide range of containerised asphalt batching plant.
