On Its 17th B'Day Zoomlion Zooms, Launches New Products

Zoomlion, is the leader in hi-tech construction equipment manufacturing sector bringing out all types of modern equipment catering to key infrastructure, construction, energy, and transit system projects. In 2008, the company recorded a whopping output of $3.6 billion with its profits and taxes surpassed $441 million.

Marking its birthday bash at Zoomlion Changsha industrial park, the company invited over a 100 guests including customers, distributors and selective media-men from around the world. At the ceremony, the company showcased and demonstrated its technical capabilities with strong and stable products line and also marked the ceremony by launching its new products—350T all Terrain Crane and 1000T Crawler Crane.

From India, the NBM&CW had the privilege of receiving an invitation from Zoomlion, that celebrated the ceremony at its crane and crawler manufacturing plant sprawling over 6,60,000 sqm of area. Responding to the Zoomlion invitation Mr. S.A.Faridi, Managing Editor, NBM&CW, flew to Changsha and participated in the event under the Zoomlion Development Evening Theme.

The itinerary includes visiting Zoomlion Product Fair, participating in Global Economic & Construction Machinery Industry Forum on September 27, 2009, witnessing the Rolling out ceremony of 350T all Terrain Crane and its signing ceremony at the Quantang Industrial Park, organized by Mobile Crane Company and later in the day witnessed the launch of 1000T crane and attending conference on the products including a special new product promotion conference, Zoomlion CIFA Brand promotion conference and closing ceremony session on September 28, 2009. All these programmes were nicely laid out and well received with minute details to facilitate invitees’ convenience.

In his address to QAY 350 at the All Terrain Crane launch ceremony, Vice President of Zoomlion Mobile Crane Company, Mr. Chen Tiejian said, “September 27 is the 17th birthday of Zoomlion and also the day when 350T All Terrain Crane is rolled out of the assembly line.” On behalf of Zoomlion, he extended a warm welcome to the audience and invitees and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all for their long–term understanding and support.


He said that there is no doubt, the completion of the assembly of this crane and the launch of 1000T Crawler Crane are unmatched successes and credit for this goes to our state-of-the-art and independent research and development centre. It is not only a memorable milestone on the road of Zoomlion‘s journey to success but also the launching pad towards the next destination. This year, we have come together to witness the first class international products manufactured from this beautiful industrial park. The rolling out of the world class hi-tech products sent across a message that Zoomlion has always been striving and will strive even harder in future to meet the equipment requirements of the emerging construction world.

The Global Economic & Construction Machinery Industry Market Outlook Forum was the other nicely conceived and well organized meet, as there were serious and thought provoking presentations from the delegates from several countries and industrial associations. From India, Mr. Babu Khan, Director CII, made an updated and well–received presentation giving an overview of the current Indian infrastructure and construction equipment market and also about the emerging situation in the next five years. He stated that today the construction equipment market in India is about $3 billion and by 2015-16, it is expected to be $15 billion mark and there is ample space for every one eyeing for a pie in the $15 billion market. His scholarly presentation drew an overwhelming response from the delegates and participants alike.

The last day, Press Meet was organized at Lugu Industrial Park Complex with Zoomliom officials who responded freely and frankly. Since its inception, Zoomlion has weathered innumerable odds both at home and abroad but there was no looking back after that and achieved significant developments in designing, engineering and manufacture of high tech construction equipment to serve the industrial requirements of the global community and also enhanced its global presence and influence. While expressing many happy returns on its 17th birthday, we at the NBM&CW wish that its 18th birthday next year will demonstrate newer technological strides. As in the next year, India and China are celebrating 60 years of their association, companies like Zoomlion and others associated with India can take this partnership to the next level of constructive and deeper cooperation.
