WOC 2014 will host over 1,300 exhibiting companies in more than 500,000 square feet of exhibition space. In addition to highlighting the 40th anniversary, the show will also feature a week full of exciting hands-on product demonstrations, spectator events & competitions, more than 100 educational sessions, as well as luncheons & forums on the latest industry topics.
The show will provide abundant opportunities for networking, training, and business growth. This well-known industry mega-show will include more than 1,000 leading suppliers and an expected 50,000 registered concrete and masonry professionals.

World of Concrete will continue to bring international buyers together with U.S. exhibitors to expand business domestically and overseas. For the 9th consecutive year, the U.S. Department of Commerce has selected the World of Concrete for the International Buyer Program (IBP) for both the 2014 and 2015 shows. WOC draws significant attendance each year working with the Department of Commerce. As part of the program, delegations from all over the globe will attend World of Concrete to connect with U.S. exhibitors interested in exporting goods and services. The International Business Center will be their headquarter for these activities.
The World of Concrete Education Program features targeted 90-minute and 3-hour sessions within targeted tracks such as Leadership & Management, Decorative Concrete, Safety & Risk Management, Finance & Money Matters and the new Engineering track among others. With more than 50% brand new sessions, WOC 2014 will offer more than 100 expert-led sessions, including interactive workshops such as Train-the-Trainer, Boot Camps for Field Leaders, and OSHA 10-Hour Safety plus Hands-On-Training opportunities for laying concrete masonry block, placing & finishing floors, surveying, stamped concrete and concrete repairs. Targeting both civil and structural engineers, the new Engineering Day, scheduled for Thursday, January 23, features a new education track with six seminars as well as scheduled demos and other events.
Unique to WOC are the outdoor exhibits and demonstration area where attendees can see equipment and technology in action. This high-energy, high-impact area lets attendees test products under real jobsite conditions—giving them the knowledge they need to make educated purchasing decisions. Popular returning events include the John Deere Operator Challenge, Western Star Serious Trucks Challenge, the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® competition, SAIA's Safety Boot Camp, Pervious Concrete LIVE!, Masonry Veneer LIVE!, and the 2014 CIM Auction, just to name a few. MCAA (Masonry Contractors Association of America) will hold its Annual Convention at WOC. In addition to several educational sessions, MCAA will feature two exciting events; the International Masonry Skills Challenge and the Fastest Trowel on the Block Competition.
CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION and CONCRETE SURFACES magazine's 12th annual Artistry in Decorative Concrete Demonstrations will take place again in the Concrete Surfaces Decorative Pavilion at World of Concrete 2014. This live-action event features industry artisans who share their techniques and experiences with attendees. Artists selected for the Demonstrations will be eligible for one of two $500 prizes awarded to the Attendees' Choice and the Experts' Choice. All voting takes place onsite in the Silver Lot, in front of South Hall.
Also within this Pavilion, the Let's Build with Concrete for Habitat event will be showcased once again. For the past few years, attendees have participated in a hands-on tool demo activity constructing concrete tabletops. After the event, these items were donated to Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas ReStore. This year, the goal will be to create a number of concrete items for donation with the help of instructors and students involved in Skills USA, to work on the items during show hours. Attendees will get to see the setup, demonstrations of the decorative concrete items being made, and a viewing of the completed items before they are shipped to ReStore.
During the week WOC offers a variety of Events, Editorial Luncheons & Tours, where attendees can do everything from enjoy a meal while listening to industry leaders on the hottest topics today to networking with peers at the new daily Breakfast with the Experts sessions, the CIM White Paper Presentation or the Hoover Dam & Lake Mead Intake Project Tour and Hoover Dam & Bypass Bridge Tour. WOC has started spreading its wings globally. After successful World of Concrete India 2013 show, another major development that took place recently is that S.E. INTERMAT, owner and organizer of the INTERMAT trade shows, and HANLEY WOOD, LLC, and organizer of World of Concrete, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a new event, "World of Concrete Europe."
Tom Cindric, Vice President of Hanley Wood Exhibitions, said, "We are very excited by this partnership which is another major step in the worldwide development of World of Concrete subsequent to the launch of World of Concrete India. Our Las Vegas show is an annual event with international reach, and so it is only natural for us to get together with one of the construction industry's leading exhibitions and unite our know-how as organizers."

Paladin
Paladin Construction Group is one of the largest manufacturers of coupler systems and attachment tools for carriers, from small compact tool carriers to large excavators, wheel loaders, tractors and truck chassis. At WOC 2014, the group will display its FFC Concrete Claw which attaches to skid steers, compact track loaders and wheel loaders to provide clean, quick and efficient methods of sidewalk, driveway or any construction site concrete removal.
FFC Concrete Claw offers more productive operation with its lower profile and low mounting height that allows material transfer while utilizing boom/loader arm supports. Easily replaceable teeth with 1.5-inch-wide shanks decrease downtime. These replaceable teeth are securely fastened with rubberized flex pins and allow the operator to easily slide the claw under concrete slabs, lift and load them. Shanks and end plates made with high-strength T-1 steel and a 1-inch by 8-inch wear-resistant pacal steel tapered cutting edge enhance durability. Nitto Construction
Japan based Nitto Construction Co. Ltd. is well-known for producing non-destructive concrete testing tools. The company will display its CTS-02v4 Concrete Tester and Surveyor at WOC 2014 which accurately measures high strength concrete (up to 150N/mm2) without damaging the concrete structure, regardless of concrete condition.
This non-destructive testing tool measures and analyzes the strength of concrete by the waveform of impact force at the point of hammer and concrete contact and calculates the deterioration and delamination condition. A built-in accelerometer measures blow force. The CTS-02v4 tests concrete areas by dividing testing blocks using the measuring plane concept. After each hit, the result is displayed in 0.5 seconds. Approximately 500,000 measurements with the waveform data can be stored internally.
Contrasted with a rebound hammer, the CTS-02v4 requires no polishing of the testing surface and causes no damage to the concrete surface. Moreover, it is equipped with USB connection to allow data to be directly exported and stored to a PC. A CSV file of the results can be exported, and further analysis using spreadsheet software is possible.

AGP is launching its all new premium range of diamond core drilling motor and stand at the show. The latest motor in the series is its 3 speed rig-mounted motor, the DM10. This 3500W motor is built for extreme durability and super efficiency. It is AGP's most powerful single phase motor and its all-metal construction allows for both improved cooling and increased durability. It includes a very special new overload system which is called AVR. The AVR system allows the operator to get a feel for the load and to get the absolute most out of the motor without stopping.
Besides these, new S500 drill stand is the latest in its new range of stand. This stand was created to provide the capabilities required by high capacity operators who need a stand which can remain stable under the most extreme torque loads.
