
Sany Heavy Industry India in joint association with Construction Equipment Rental Association of India (CERA), held a roadshow in New Delhi for showcasing its construction technology across its product verticals, during which it also shared information on its product support initiatives and expansion plans.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Deepak Garg, CEO, Sany Heavy Industry India, said, “The future growth strategy of Sany India will be in enhancing its ratio of product localization so as to make its products and parts cost competitive. We have the distinction of manufacturing 2000 excavators in 2017 with 40% localized components, and we plan to scale up localization to 60% in the next five years. Wewill also increase the production output atour Pune facility by making India our export hub. We will also introduce newer construction technologies through sustained R&D in which we have invested 5-7% of our revenue. This will meet the rising demand for construction solutions across the value chain for both the domestic and export markets.”

Launched in March this year, the SANY SYT 63 (T 5013-5) 5-ton tower crane is designed for lifting steel and other sections, and is highly suitable for BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. It comes with a jib length of 50 meters at which it can lift 1.30 tons. It can lift maximum rated load of 5 tons at 2.5 meters working radius, and has a free-standing height of 40.5 meters. Its ruggedbody is made of high strength steel, and is made highly durable with appropriate levels of shot blasting on the surface. Other features are limit switches for all three mechanisms, anti-collision device, and anemometer for gauging wind pressure, seamless tubular masts and resting platform in every section of the masts. The company has begun manufacturing and assembly of the tower cranes at its Pune facility.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Sanjay Saxena, Business Head and VP (Heavy Equipments), said, “To support our increasing range of equipment in India, we have set up 5 regional offices, a team of 100+ service engineers, 10 product experts, and 30 service locations across India. To ensure optimum availability of the equipment to end-users, we have annual health check-up programsfor the machines supported by dedicated service vehicles. We also render training packages by master operators for all the equipments and precisely for cranes and piling rigs. To ensure their optimum utilization, we undertake application studies to understand the requirements of the contractors based on project necessities.”
