Commenting on the achievement Vikram Malhotra, Marketing Director, JK Tyre and Industries, said “JK Tyre has been at the forefront of driving innovation in the Indian tyre industry. This recognition from the Limca Book of Records is reflective of our unwavering efforts in that direction. The VEM 045 has been widely appreciated for its sturdiness and functionality over the years. We are now encouraged to introduce more such category-defining products and solutions in the future.”
JK Tyre offers a comprehensive product range in the OTR (off-the-road) segment with highly efficient and performance-oriented tyres in various sizes for the Industrial and Mining segments.
The company has a global presence in 100 countries, with 12 plants - 9 in India and 3 in Mexico, which together have a capacity of about 35 million tyres per annum. In April 2016, JK Tyre acquired Cavendish India Limited from Birla Tyres, thereby adding three modern plants to its portfolio and taking the total count to 12 and marking a major foray into the two/three-wheeler segment as well. In 2018, the company inaugurated its Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence in Mysore.
