In recent times there has been a significant push from the government in the infrastructure and housing sector as seen in the interim Budget 2019. From roadways, railways to airports and other smart-city initiatives, the last few years have witnessed a phenomenal growth in the sector, leading to world-class facilities coming up across the country.
With the launch of flagship schemes like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) amongst others, the government has reiterated its continued thrust and commitment to these programs. However, except the housing sector where direct and indirect fiscal benefits are likely to lead to real growth, the interim budget did not delve much into direct or indirect increase in allocation or investments in other sectors. Against this background, organiser UBM India firmly believes that the Concrete Show India 2019 will bring for the opportunities in India’s rapidly growing concrete market.
Over 150 exhibitors have confirmed their presence; they include prominent industry players such as JSW Cement, Ajax, Chowgule Construction Chemicals, Masa Concrete Plants, Elematic India, KYB Conmat, Columbia Machine Engineering, Prism RMC, Maxmech Equipments, Aimil Ltd., RDC Concrete, SURIE POLEX, Fairmate Chemicals, J.K.Cement and MC-Bauchemie to name a few. Visitors at the show will also witness an array of brands and products from countries such as China, Germany, Italy, UK and USA.
Concrete Show India is being organised at a time when the infrastructure sector is enjoying continued focus from the Government. It is initiating policies that aim to ensure time-bound creation of world-class infrastructure in the country. The event has been well-received by the industry with support from key organisations and associations such as Tunnelling Association of India (TAI), Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturers’ Association (RMCMA), The American Concrete Institute (ACI), and The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), to name a few.
