In Delhi recently, ExxonMobil organized a media roundtable which was addressed by Mr. Paul Grives, Global Industrial Strategy Advisor, ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company and Mr. Shankar Karnik, Asia Pacific Mobil SHC Brand Manager, ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants and Specialties Marketing Company. During the meeting, Mr. Grives and Mr. Karnik discussed Getting Smart About Grease which focuses on understanding the grease industry's specifications which in turn will help industries to become more efficient in certifying and selectinggreases.

During the colloquium, Mr. Karnik shared about the company's operations. As ExxonMobil is currently a leading producer of finished lubricants, asphalt and specialty products as well as a leading global supplier of lubricant base stocks. The company has a highly talented team to deliver advanced lubricant products and services to major industrial equipment manufacturers to protect their customers' equipment. This team also helps industrial users achieve peak performance while improving their energy efficiency capability. In addition, he gave detailed account of how lubricants are manufactured keeping sustainability in mind and also revealed ExxonMobil's stringent techniques and working conditions that contribute to minimum waste disposal, energy consumption, lower operating costs, labor, and transportation.

Mr. Grives, Global Industrial Strategy Advisor, ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company, followed with his presentation on ExxonMobil's commitment to technology leadership with Mobil branded greases, their advanced formulation & product development process, correct application expertise, product recommendations and exceptional product performance. He provided further insights on Mobil branded grease offerings for Indian Market and the advanced technology behind products, grease benefits over lubricating oils and sustainability benefits.

He also talked about the leading-edge technology Mobil branded synthetic and mineral greases, which help protect equipment, extend re-lubrication intervals and help enable problem-free operation. These products are based on carefully selected mineral and scientifically engineered synthetic base fluids, in combination with patented thickener technology and synergistic additive systems.

Dwelling on details, he said adding that Mobil SHC branded synthetic greases are specially designed to meet a wide variety of operating conditions both in industrial and mobile equipment operating at very high or low temperatures, water contamination, heavy or shock loads, and variable speeds. Mobil SHC branded synthetic greases is available in a range of viscosity grades which offer the right grease for every application. Mobil branded industrial greases provide distinct advantages like enhanced equipment reliability and performance even in extreme operating conditions, cost-effective lubrication and reduced waste based on long grease life and extended re-lubrication interval, improved productivity which roots from the deep application expertise of their Field Engineers and support of their longstanding equipment builder relationships and other technical resources.

When asked about the company's new launches and further plans, Shankar replied that every product has to undergo and pass rigorous lab and field testing. It may take anywhere between 5&10 years before a new technology product is commercially introduced in the market. He further added that ExxonMobil will be soon launching a new program for the Mining industry and planning to introduce high performance lubricating oils and greases keeping their application use and stringent requirements in mind.
