The sixth edition of the mega 5-day trade show, Excon'11 will be held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore from 23 to 27 November 2011. The event is set to break all the previous records with alarming increase in exhibiting space from 1,60,000 sqm in 2009 to 2,20,000 sqm this year, a 35% more exhibit space than the previous edition. Around 600 exhibitors including 200+ overseas companies and nearly 35,000 visitors across the globe are expected to participate in the show which is a wonderful platform for the participants to meet, interact and create new business contacts to boost the growth potential of the construction sector.
Excon 2011 is dedicated to construction equipment and construction technology sector is expected to bring all the professionals and other players related on to a common platform. The expo presents an extensive range of construction products, services, technologies, and the world's finest equipment and machineries. The show among other things will host a 2-day Indian Earthmoving & Construction Industry Association Ltd (IECIAL) conference, a Builder's Association of India (BAI) member's meet, and over 400 product launches by participating companies.
Talking about the progressive growth of Excon series of exhibition Mr. Vipin Sondhi, Chairman, Excon 2011 and Managing Director & CEO, JCB India Limited says, "With each successive edition, Excon has witnessed immense growth both in quality and in numbers. So, while this will be the largest event on all counts including the number of domestic and overseas exhibitors & visitors, exhibition area and new product launches, the biggest difference will be the presence of enhanced foreign players. There will be 8 countries pavilions including leading economies like China, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, and Finland."
Excon 2011 would also have a large presence of SMEs in the component and aggregate manufacturing, showcasing India's potential as a preferred outsourcing destination for construction equipment manufacturing. With the participation of almost all leading players in the construction equipment industry, the exhibition aims at facilitating faster and sustainable development of infrastructure and related sectors in India.
From live demonstrations of equipment for earthmoving & construction, lifting, material handling, concrete making, hydraulics, pneumatics and drills, to a display of power tools & piling, electronics, controls & instrumentation, compactors, and compressors & generators, the fair promises to give a great business opportunity to all the participants. Apart from the participation of major equipment renting companies, leasing and finance companies that offer on the spot loans, visitors can benefit by benchmarking product features of different makes, interacting about their requirements with technical heads, and negotiating deals with chief executives. The event also acts as a forum to position India as an outsourcing destination for components, aggregates and equipment.
IECIAL, an affiliated body of the CII, will host a 2-day Conference on 'ECE Industry – Vision 2020 and Beyond' coinciding with Excon 2011 on 24 & 25 November 2011. The conference would focus on areas such as; Future growth in ECE industry – Vision 2025; Viable financing model for the equipment & projects; Leading & renting of equipment; Inclusive growth in construction industry and Supply chain management.
As part of its extensive pre-event promotion, CII has conducted over 20 roadshows across the country end October 2011. Besides this, CII has also launched promotional campaigns in print, electronic and social media to reach out to the masses.The Government of Karnataka is the Partner State for Excon 2011 and the Indian Earthmoving & Construction Industry Association is the Sector Partner. The event is supported by the BAI.
Visitors facilities at Excon 2011 include a business centre, information counters, internet kiosks with printers, translation services, meeting points, carts for the differently abled, and food courts & short eat counters among others.
