Ring road project worth Rs 1,971-cr gains pace in Mysuru
The Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) is moving forward with the proposed Peripheral Ring Road project. The road will encircle the existing Outer Ring Road, stretching the total length to 110 kilometers. Tenders have been initiated to appoint a Project Consultant for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The Peripheral Ring Road aims to alleviate traffic congestion on the current six-lane Outer Ring Road, connecting key routes in Mysuru. The project requires land acquisition of 824 acres and includes the construction of six main lanes and four service road lanes. The estimated cost is Rs 1,971 crore, covering land acquisition and road construction works. With the election period over, the project is gaining momentum, and the new government is pushing it forward. NHAI Project Director B.T. Sridhar, known for his expertise in expressway construction, will assist in outlining the proposed road.
