The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has awarded Afcons a contract worth approximately Rs 2,086 crore, excluding GST, to construct the 24.5-km access-controlled Greenfield Jewar Link Expressway. The six-lane corridor, expandable to eight lanes, will connect Noida International Airport at Jewar with the state's expressway network.
The expressway is expected to improve airport accessibility, reduce travel time and enhance logistics efficiency by linking the Yamuna Expressway and Ganga Expressway. It is also expected to strengthen passenger and freight connectivity across western and central Uttar Pradesh and support regional economic development.
Afcons has also received a notice of award from the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) for a contract worth approximately Rs 1,383 crore under the Lucknow Metro Phase-1B project. The scope covers the design and construction of a 6.52-km underground corridor, including seven underground metro stations, civil and architectural works, utility systems, fire safety infrastructure, and connections between underground and elevated sections.
Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Executive Chairman of Afcons, said the awards reflected the confidence of infrastructure agencies in the company's engineering and execution capabilities. He said the projects would improve mobility, support economic growth and enhance quality of life across Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region.
S. Paramasivan, Managing Director of Afcons, said the contracts would strengthen the company's order book and reaffirm its commitment to delivering complex infrastructure projects. With these awards, Afcons' fresh order inflows in FY27 have reached Rs 19,438 crore, he added.
