NHAI invests Rs 537-cr in road connecting Jewar Airport to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

NHAI
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has allocated Rs 537 crore for a road project that will directly link the Jewar airport with the Yamuna Expressway and Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The plan includes constructing a 750-meter stretch of a 6-lane road to connect the international airport in Greater Noida to the Yamuna Expressway, serving as an interchange at the 30th km point. Additionally, an investment of Rs 179 crore will be made for the construction of this road, which is set to commence soon.

Furthermore, Noida Airport will be connected to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway via Ballabgarh in Haryana. A 31 km long expressway, costing Rs 358 crore, is being developed for this purpose, with construction already underway. Both road networks are being built by the NHAI, and the Jewar to Ballabgarh link road is expected to be completed within a year of construction commencement.

Once all these road expansion projects are completed, Noida Airport, with its six runways and future expansion plans, will become India's and Asia's largest aviation facility. These developments will not only benefit air travelers but also provide significant advantages to the residents of Delhi NCR, including Noida and Greater Noida.
