MoRTH expedites Baghpat-Rohna highway project

The Union transport ministry
The Union transport ministry has expedited the progress of the NH-34 project, which begins at Baghpat on the Uttar Pradesh and Haryana border and extends up to Rohna in Haryana, spanning a distance of 40.2 km. Nitin Gadkari, the Union Transport Minister, emphasized that sustainable materials like plastic waste and fly ash are being prioritized during the construction process. This approach not only ensures cost-effectiveness but also promotes environmental friendliness. The project plays a vital role in improving connectivity between Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan, while also offering an alternative route to alleviate traffic congestion in Delhi. Additionally, the national highway facilitates convenient access for neighboring towns, villages, and industries to NH-44, Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways, and enables direct travel between Chandigarh and Delhi.
