Centre sanctions Rs 1,032-cr for Kondamodu-Perecherla NH project
The Kondamodu Perecherla national highway construction is finally set to commence, as the Union government has sanctioned Rs 1,032.52 crore and initiated the tendering process for this significant highway project. The four-lane road stretch is expected to alleviate traffic congestion on the Guntur-Hyderabad highway and enhance connectivity between the two states. Moreover, it will serve as a vital link between Chennai and Hyderabad, considering the heavy traffic witnessed on the highway between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. In the initial phase, tenders worth Rs 699 crore have been invited for the civil works, according to official sources. The construction of this national highway will greatly benefit the residents in and around Palnadu by improving connectivity to major cities like Chennai and Hyderabad, facilitating easy transportation and providing a significant boost to local businesses.
