DDA Launches Plan for Green Space Management in Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has unveiled a comprehensive plan to manage its green spaces, which include parks, central verges, trees, biodiversity parks, and the Yamuna floodplain. This innovative initiative will be managed by a single expert organization to ensure regular upkeep, flexible staff deployment, and timely planting of seasonal or other saplings.
DDA's horticulture department oversees more than 10,000 acres of green spaces across the national capital, including over 800 individual properties such as seven biodiversity parks, reserved forests, the Yamuna riverfront, green belts, golf courses, and sports complexes. Additionally, it is responsible for the care of millions of trees along roadsides and in parks.
