Godhra–Vadodara Stretch of Delhi–Mumbai Expressway Opens for Trial, Travel Time to Drop to 12 Hours

The newly operational stretch runs from Bhamaiya village near Godhra to Dodka village near Vadodara and has been developed as an eight-lane, access-controlled expressway to enable high-speed travel.
Once fully completed, the 1,386 km-long expressway is expected to reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to around 12 hours.
The project is being developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana and spans five states—Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra—aimed at enhancing national connectivity and logistics efficiency.
