Construction Begins on Bhubaneswar Metro Depot

Work has commenced on the Bhubaneswar Metro project, with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) initiating construction of the Metro depot at Phulapokhari near Barang in Cuttack. The boundary wall construction, costing ₹9 crore, is underway and expected to be completed within 12 months. The depot, spread over 16 hectares with a cost of ₹104.74 crore, will commence construction after the boundary wall is completed. Additionally, three tenders have been floated for the construction of Metro stations along the proposed line between Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar and Trisulia in Cuttack.
