Excavation Begins for Underground Station in Kanpur Metro Corridor-2

Kanpur Metro Rail Project's Corridor-2
The Kanpur Metro Rail Project's Corridor-2, spanning from CSA University to Barra-8, will feature a 4.10 km underground section from Rawatpur to Double Puliya. Excavation work for the first Diaphragm Wall (D-Wall) commenced at Rawatpur underground station, marking a significant milestone. Following the award of the tender in December, pre-construction activities such as soil testing and utility shifting were underway. With the start of D-Wall excavation, construction advances to the next stage. Rawatpur, Kakadeo, and Double Puliya stations will be built under this section, with Rawatpur serving as a crucial interchange station connecting both metro corridors.
