Wipro Hydraulics Exhibits Intelligent Solutions for Tipper Trucks

Wipro
Wipro Hydraulics, part of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), is a major player in the hydraulic cylinders segment for off-highway construction equipment. On display were a range of innovative solutions for construction, mining, and cranes. Tipmatix, an intelligent solution for tipper trucks, can be fitted in the trucks for sensing the tipping operations for safe unloading of cargo both through the rock and box body variants.

Sitaram Ganeshan, President, informed that the company is working closely with OEMs for developing AI solutions for safe and reliable operation of tipper trucks. “The data collected from the OEMs is simulated at our R&D facility in Peenya, Bangalore, based on the loaded condition and the pressure exerted on the cylinders, among other factors.” He informed that the AI based solution in the hydraulic cylinders is giving good results in tipper trucks working in Indonesian coal mines.

While Wipro exports 70% of its components, it looks for opportunities in India’s various construction equipment segments, notably, cranes like crawler, mobile, and the all-terrain cranes. This is also because many foreign manufacturers are deploying their machines in India.

Added Ganeshan, "We are working towards providing solutions for various critical construction equipment (which include backhoe loaders, telehandlers, and excavators of various tonnage). With the support of our 16 manufacturing facilities located across the world, and a new facility at Jaipur, along with 4 technology centers worldwide, and a recent acquisition in Canada, we are delivering over one million custom-built cylinders annually to OEMs in earthmoving, material and cargo handling, forestry, agriculture, snow management, and tipper trucks, across India, Europe, US, Canada and Brazil."
