Radicon Power Build From Product Supplier To Application Engineering Partner.

R Haridoss CEO Radicon Power Build
R Haridoss, CEO, Radicon Power Build, discusses the growing opportunities for the company in infrastructure development projects.

With India's infrastructure sector expanding rapidly, what growth opportunities do you see for your company’s power transmission products and solutions?

More infrastructure means greater demand for construction equipment, material-processing machinery, and reliable plant operation. As utilization increases, equipment manufacturers and contractors need drive systems capable of performing consistently under demanding working conditions.

Electrification, automation and digitalisation are changing how machines are designed, controlled and maintained. However, even as control technology becomes more intelligent, the machine still needs reliable mechanical movement at the required torque and speed. I therefore see the future of power transmission as a combination of strong mechanical engineering and smarter control.

We see opportunities across batch mix plants, conveyors, crushers, mixersand material-handling systems. Our Series-F, Series-M and Series-C solutions provide different configurations that can be selected according to the application's torque, speed and mounting requirements.

Motors, gearboxes, VFDs, controls and machine requirements are becoming increasingly interconnected. OEMs are also developing more compact and productive machines, which means they expect their component partners to become involved earlier in the design process. This creates an opportunity for Radicon Power Build to contribute not simply as a product supplier but as an application engineering partner.

What is Power Build's approach to the growing market?

We want to grow alongside the industry by remaining focused on engineering rather than simply volume. India's infrastructure opportunity is significant, but sustainable growth requires reliable equipment. Our role is to support OEMs and users with power transmission solutions that are engineered for their applications. We also offer customized products as per their requirements.

Equipment availability and productivity are becoming increasingly important. Customers want machines that can work for longer periods with predictable performance. This places greater responsibility on every component, including the gearbox and geared motor.

We are strengthening our approach around a broad geared motor portfolio, efficient motor solutions, VFD-based drive systems and application-specific engineering. At the same time, our focus remains on the fundamentals that have built the Power Build brand over the years—reliability, manufacturing quality, application understanding and customer support.

Another important direction is closer collaboration with OEMs. As equipment becomes more automated and specialized, early discussions around torque, speed, mounting, duty cycle and control requirements can help create a more integrated machine. We believe this engineering partnership will become increasingly important in the coming years.

We have been manufacturing gearboxes and geared motors for over 50 years. Customers see us as a one-stop solution for any type of gearbox suited to their application.
