Vinni Chemicals: Advanced Lubricants, Greases, Coolants & Fuel Additives

What advanced solutions is the company offering?
Vinni Chemicals, a 24-year-old company, specializes in the manufacture of lubricants, greases, coolants, and fuel additives, that are used by industry leaders like JCB, Hindustan Petroleum, Ashok Leyland, Mahle, Tata Toyo and Schwing Stetter.
As the world moves towards sustainability, the need for advanced solutions in fuel performance has become critical. Today’s fuels face challenges with mandates for blending biodiesel, ethanol, and methanol, which can negatively impact engine performance. Our fuel additives are designed to address these issues, preventing engine deterioration and even restoring the performance of aging engines. By enhancing fuel efficiency and extending engine life, our additives offer a practical solution without compromising on sustainability goals, in line with our tagline ‘Partners in Sustainability.’
How is the company delivering fuel efficiency alongside sustainability?
Our fuel additives reduce emission while improving engine performance. By maintaining both the factors, fuel economy naturally improves, resulting in a 5 to 7% reduction in fuel dependency. As for emission, specifically carbon dioxide, it can be reduced by up to 50% (depending on the condition of the engine and its maintenance). Not only do we help companies save money and enhance engine productivity, but we also assist them in achieving carbon neutrality. In this way, we deliver the best outcomes on both fronts.
The company’s premium range of greases are engineered to meet the most demanding conditions. The high-temperature grease can withstand temperatures of up to 975°C, ensuring superior performance and reliability. This stiff grease delivers outstanding longevity, outperforming conventional EP2 greases.

Please elaborate on the technological aspects of the fuel additives.
Fuel additives generally address three or four main issues. First, they contain a substance that prevents carbon buildup. When carbon is removed from the engine, the engine’s performance automatically improves. Second, a demulsifier present, removes water contamination from diesel; a common issue today. Third, there is a corrosion inhibitor that protects fuel components like fuel injectors, from corrosion caused by products like biodiesel, which are acidic in nature.
The product contains a small amount of friction modifier. When using biodiesel, wax deposits can form on the filter, which causes the filter to get clogged. This wax is an inherent problem with biodiesel. Our additive changes the structure of the wax, allowing proper fuel flow and preventing blockages. Overall, our product addresses multiple engine issues with one simple solution.
What growth do you anticipate for Vinni Chemicals?
The automotive, construction, mining, and other industries are expected to grow significantly. While there is competition from EVs, fuel additives, lubricants, greases, coolants, and other components will remain essential. We were also one of the first to develop coolants for EVs and hydrogen fuel cells.
Though 2024 was relatively slower compared to the previous years, we are anticipating a stronger growth in 2025. We will be introducing some major products, which will be game-changers.
As for expansion plans, we are exploring Southeast Asia as a new market for our products. However, our primary focus has always been B2B and OEMs. We don’t just provide products, which is easy; we are providing total solutions, which is much more complex. Many people come with a copy-paste approach, based on formulas found online or shared by others. The real value is in understanding how and why a solution works, what the adverse effects could be and how to resolve them effectively.
Vinni Chemicals has invested over ₹12 cr in its R&D department. It has three independent test labs and has partnered with Afton Chemicals, a global industry giant, for assistance on the necessary data. So, all our claims are backed by data.
