TH Company’s M-Sand washing solutions and thickener assist in proper processing of the silt material after the process of making M-Sand. Elaborates Satyabrata Misra, Country General Manager, “When producing M-Sand, the residual / waste material contains a large amount of water which needs to be recovered. Our NK-CL paste thickener helps in transforming the silt/unwanted material into a paste form for ease of disposing. Our thickener, when installed, has a small footprint. It also facilitates complete re-circulation of the water left in the residual matter. Another benefit is that the thickener produces the highest solid concentration achievable from slurry, using enhanced gravity thickening with lamella plate technology.”

The thickener has an elevated main body design, tank bottoms designed with steeper inclination (compared to conventional thickeners), and a unique feed system that integrates a lamella module. These features enhance the sedimentation process for forming high density slurry within the thickener's settling zone. The thickener has a robust drive mechanism to handle high concentration slurries. Its low-profile scraper arms are built for durability and incorporate a conical underflow scraper to prevent the slurry bed from compacting. Pickets integrated into the rakes facilitate channel formation in the slurry for more efficient liquid release, improving underflow density and overall system performance in terms of water recovery.
The company’s M-Sand washing machines are available between 70-100-160-200-230-250TPH. They are available as standard and can be customized with higher levels of engineering as per the materials to be processed. “Our specialised process engineers also render presales support such as advising customers on the right product as per their requirements. The stages of cyclones, classifying and dewatering screens and pump sizes are also as per the desired output," informs Misra.
