What are the special features of your newly launched tracked machine with transport engine and other products?
The products that we have recently launched are unique to the Indian market. The newly launched tracked machine with transport engine, for instance, has the versatility to run on electricity (similar to a wheeled or static plant). It features a small engine exclusively for tracking purposes, while the rest of the plant is powered by electricity. This combines the benefits of a wheel plant and a track plant in a single machine. This is a unique concept for the Crushing & Screening Industry and Terex is the first to launch in India.
We have also launched a 25-ton Franna crane, the largest capacity now being made in India from the Franna brand. On the static side, we have launched the MTJ55 model equipped with JW55 jaw crusher, capable of handling up to 500 tons per hour for aggregate and mining applications.
We have also introduced the Cobra 290R, a track-mounted impactor – Terex again being the first to launch in India. All five of these new launches represent significant innovations in the market.

How is Terex addressing customer needs for flexibility in power usage, safety, and waste management?
The transport engine machines we have introduced are a great example of how we cater to customer preferences. Many customers have specific choices when it comes to engine brands. By offering transport engine machines, we provide them the flexibility to choose a DG set of their preferred brand to operate our plant. This eliminates dependency on a single engine manufacturer supplied by us as an OEM and puts the decision-making power in the hands of the customer.
We have enhanced the safety features of our cranes by incorporating Safe Load Indicators and other safety mechanisms. These features ensure that the machine cannot be misused or overloaded, offering customers peace of mind and reliability.
In the waste management industry, while we have traditionally offered products like our 883+ and Warrior Screens, we identified the need for Mobile Trommels. Mobile Trommel machines are particularly effective in handling wet, sticky materials and legacy waste. This is a technology that we have introduced in the country, and currently, no other manufacturer is offering similar solutions in India.

How does Terex maintain its market leadership?
The key to retaining market share and leadership lies in consistently launching new products and adopting the latest technologies. For instance, our innovative transport engine machines are unique in the market. At Terex, we offer a diverse range of options, including traditional diesel-hydraulic machines, hybrid machines, and now fully electric machines with transport engine functionality.
This wide range provides customers with equipment that suits various applications. For example, our track-mounted impactor, recently launched in India, is the first of its kind manufactured locally. Similarly, from our Ecotec range, we have introduced Mobile Trommels, which no other manufacturer in India currently manufactures.
By manufacturing a comprehensive range of equipment in India, we not only reduce costs for our customers but also deliver products that meet global quality standards. This approach enables us to cater to the Indian market effectively and sustain our leadership position.

What are Terex's initiatives towards sustainability while expanding its manufacturing capabilities in India?
On the manufacturing front, we are implementing initiatives to reduce power consumption, transition to green energy, and minimize effluent discharge. We are focusing on digitizing our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, which ultimately contributes to a greener planet. A major effort has been to develop equipment powered by electric, dual, and hybrid systems, significantly reducing fossil fuel consumption.
At the corporate level, Terex has emphasized environmental sustainability. A notable step in this direction is our recent acquisition of the Environmental Solutions Group (ESG). This company specializes in greener industry solutions, such as waste collection systems, further strengthening our commitment to sustainable practices.
What Terex products manufactured in India are serving both local and global markets?

The products we manufacture in India are primarily designed for the Indian market. However, we have observed strong acceptance for these products in regions such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. We leverage these opportunities and do not hesitate to export Indian-made products to these markets when the demand arises.
There are specific products that are exclusively manufactured in India for global markets. For instance, our Warrior screens and certain conveyor models are designed specifically for export. These products are built to meet international standards and are exported worldwide, reflecting our commitment to serving both local and global markets efficiently.
How is Terex contributing to the waste management industry in India, and what specialized equipment have you introduced to cater to this market?
Given India’s large population, the huge amount of daily waste generated, and the legacy waste challenges, we see waste management as a highly promising industry. Many companies are now providing state-of-the-art equipment for the waste management industry. This indicates a gradual shift towards mechanization for handling waste within the infra construction sector.
Terex’s participation in this sector is growing steadily. We have introduced specialized machines for the waste industry such as Tracked Trommels and Shredders, which are finding encouraging acceptance in the market. We believe this sector will grow significantly in the coming years.
How is Terex working to expand its dealer network across different product segments in India?
We are actively expanding our dealer network for our various brands to enhance our reach and service. Franna is a product segment where we have been consistently growing our dealer network since it is a product that is traditionally distributed through dealers.
Recently, we expanded our distribution by partnering with Times Equipment, a dealer in North India as we want to be present most strongly in the northern region of the country. We are exploring opportunities to onboard dealers for other product segments, such as Ecotec, which focuses on the recycling industry.
