Radicon Power Build Showcases Advanced Gear Units and Drive Technologies

“We are showcasing a wide spectrum of products used across various infrastructure construction equipment,” shared R. Haridoss, CEO. “Our prime products include the M, C, F, and K series geared motors, which are widely used in construction equipment and asphalt plants. This year, we introduced the new Series Q, and we see strong potential for it in the market.”
Designed for demanding applications, the newly launched Series Q is available in unit sizes 45, 50, 60, and 70, delivering torque up to 5,200 N-m with gear ratios from 5:1 to 30:1. With flexible output options such as hollow shaft, torque arm, and backstop, it is particularly suited for conveyors, crushing conveyors, asphalt dust mixers, and mixers.
Power Build also supplies drives for concrete equipment, including pug mills, pan mixers, and batch mixing plants. The company emphasizes advanced engineering standards, adopting European-designed systems and adhering to DIN standards. “All our gearbox internals are case-carburized, hardened, and ground to accuracy class 6. They are compact, highly efficient, and paired with motors of up to IE4 efficiency. A unique advantage is that all our gearboxes are designed to work with IEC standard motors,” said Haridoss.
According to him, demand for Power Build’s products is rising sharply in step with India’s infrastructure expansion. “The major demand comes from road construction, crushing, and mixers. We also offer planetary geared motors up to 3 lakh Nm torque, which are widely used in construction machinery.”
Customization remains a key focus for the company. “We do extensive customization to match customers’ engineering needs and equipment design. We also provide specialized electrical configurations and variable frequency drives along with the gearboxes to meet specific operational requirements,” he said.
To enhance reliability in heavy-duty applications, Power Build has recently introduced a condition monitoring system designed for larger gearboxes. It monitors temperature and vibration over time to help users plan maintenance and improve machine uptime.
A part of the Elecon Group, Power Build takes pride in its manufacturing capabilities. “We are the largest industrial gearbox manufacturer in the country and the first in India to introduce hardened and ground gearboxes and gear motors,” Haridoss stated. “Every gearbox is manufactured in-house with complete control over quality, which is our biggest strength.”
Reflecting on business performance, he shared that the company expects 10–15% growth over the previous financial year. “We are ready to meet rising industrial demand. This year alone, we are investing nearly ₹60 crore in new machinery and infrastructure. Our design team is actively developing new products needed for the infrastructure sector. We want our customers to know that we are fully prepared to meet their requirements.”
