We are bringing to India globally benchmarked electric and hybrid MEWPs; high-strength, reusable ground protection mats; advanced diagnostic tools, and best service practices.
Krishna Patel, Head - Access SBU
What opportunities does Maco see in India’s expanding infrastructure and the resultant rising demand for access and material-handling equipment?
India’s infrastructure ecosystem is undergoing a massive shift—whether it is expressways, metro lines, industrial corridors, renewable power, or steel and mining expansions. This growth is pushing the industry toward safer, more mechanised work-at-height and ground-access solutions. At Maco, we see this as an opportunity to strengthen our presence by expanding the unit sales of our Genie brand, scaling up Newpark mats sales and rentals, deepening our engagement in steel, mining, power, and infrastructure projects, and taking a solutions-first approach.
With a stronger demand for access solutions that ensure safety and efficiency, how is Maco enhancing its MEWP range and rental capabilities?

How do Maco’s collaborations with leading global brands help in bringing advanced technologies into India?
Our partnerships with Genie, Newpark, and other specialised technology providers allow us to bring world-class innovations directly to Indian jobsites. These collaborations help us introduce globally benchmarked electric and hybrid MEWPs; high-strength, reusable ground protection mats; and advanced diagnostic tools, safety features, and service practices. They ensure that we stay aligned with the highest global engineering and safety standards. With sustainability becoming critical, what initiatives is Maco driving in this direction?
We are actively transitioning toward electric and low-emission Genie boom and scissor lifts; reusable Newpark mats that minimize soil damage and reduce environmental restoration costs; and low-noise, low-maintenance platforms suitable for smart and green infrastructure projects. These initiatives align with India’s push toward greener, cleaner construction. How is Maco utilizing IoT, telematics, and automation to improve equipment performance and maintenance?
We are integrating telematics across our MEWP and mats solutions to enable real-time equipment health and utilization tracking; predictive maintenance alerts; remote diagnostics for quicker issue resolution; and rental fleet optimization. This results in faster response times, more uptime, and significantly improved customer experience. How is Maco ensuring operator safety and timely service across India?
Our focus is on safe operators, safe machines, and safe jobsite practices. We ensure this through operator training and certification programs conducted nationwide; on-site commissioning and refresher sessions; strong after-sales infrastructure, including spares hubs, technical support teams, and mobile service vans; and adopting global safety norms from Genie and our international partners.Projects today demand customised access and lifting solutions. How is Maco addressing next-generation requirements?
We are working closely with project owners and contractors to develop specialised MEWP configurations for high-rise and modular construction; customised Newpark mat deployments for challenging terrains; compact, electric access solutions for factories, warehouses, and metro applications; and application-specific engineering to meet unique site constraints. This ensures that our customers get tailored solutions for evolving project needs. What innovations will Maco showcase at EXCON 2025?
Visitors at our booth can expect to see the latest Genie electric booms and rough-terrain scissors; advanced Newpark ground protection mats, including heavy-load systems; demonstrations of our enhanced service, telematics, and safety programs; and live displays highlighting sustainability, operator safety, and engineering excellence. By bringing global innovations to India, we are supporting the country’s infrastructure growth with reliable, and future-ready solutions.
