In 20 years, growth in CE will mostly come from urban, rural, and transportation sectors

The CE is one of the fastest growing industries in India due to high infrastructure development needs. Demand for construction equipment is expected to grow to speed up completion of current projects, as well as to fulfil rising demand for newer segments like commercial projects, mining, housing, and agriculture, which previously had low access, and are now adopting standard machineries.

In two decades, most of the growth in the construction industry is likely to come from three main segments: the urban sector, rural sector, and the transportation sector. This indicates a robust growth of the CE industry of India.

With the emphasis on indigenization, businesses can fulfil domestic requirements with tailored and cost-effective options. This will be a great help for suppliers to improve their margins and costs. Also, the buyback plans and used-equipment exchanges can help strengthen the market for sales of used machinery.

The success of the construction ecosystem will depend on the tight collaboration among the industry, government and the policy-makers, to ensure that the challenges of this sector are overcome, thereby, paving the roadmap for growth and progress of the country.

We are hopeful of seeing a large percentage of serious buyers at Excon 17

Excon is one of the biggest trade fairs to look forward to in the construction and equipment industry. We, in the CE industry, understand and realize that the show provides a terrific platform to showcase our capabilities and build our brand image to both existing and potential customers. The show gives us the opportunity to give product demos, find new dealers in different regions, and build a stronger relationship with the industry.

We are hopeful of seeing higher customer footfall with a larger percentage of serious buyers than the previous exhibition. We are also looking forward to customers from the South Asia region.

GST is a win-win situation for both equipment sellers and buyers

GST has revolutionised the tax system of the country. Driven by the principle of ‘one nation one tax’, it is expected to unify the country economically. It has clearly affected various sectors of the economy, including the CE sector in the last 3-4 months, but we are thankful to the govt. for bringing back the GST to 18% from 28%. GST is bound to represent a win-win situation for both the construction equipment sellers as well as the buyers.

New Age will showcase RSPs and Gondolas with advanced safety features

New Age believes in offering customized solutions for Rope Suspended Platforms with higher safety features. Our L-type (90’), C-Shape, Curve-Shape, Round Shape, W-Shape, Square-Shape, Front Extension Platforms (fixed/ folding) and multiple other modifications in the suspension mechanism, are highly appreciated by our customers.

We will showcase all the possibilities in gondolas through our recently launched new design of Rope Suspended Platforms (RSP/ Gondolas). Also, on display will be our newly-designed customized platforms for use in windmills, chimneys, and dams.

Our square-shaped gondola is a special customized machine with many advanced safety features. It is in use at BG Shirke and at Bombay-Dyeing project in Mumbai. The Marathon Group has also procured it machine for a lift shaft area.

Our newly designed round-shaped RSP for a 300-m long chimney with 3000 kg loading capacity will be introduced for the first time in India by us. Excon is an ideal platform to launch these technically advanced products. We are launching our in-house upgraded models of Rebar Bending and Cutting machines, and will be introducing the Mini-lift.
