GHH to widen product offering, strengthen brand positioning
German tunnelling equipment manufacturer GHH is adding utility vehicles, explosive chargers, spray machines and scissor lifts to its existing line of jumbo drills, loaders, dumpers and concrete spray machines. Said Jan Petzold, CEO, GHH FahrzeugeGmBH and Rajeshwar Singh, MD, GHH India Mining & Tunnelling Equipment, “The expanded range will enable GHH to be seen as a comprehensive solutions provider for road tunnelling projects. Parts and services will be supported by GHH in India, which has 200 employees and a training centre in Udaipur for training the maintenance and service team, and the operators.
“Our products are designed and engineered for ease of operation by local operators, for example, our new Face Master twin boom drill jumbo with a service basket, is an extremely reliable machine that is easy to operate and maintain with its easy to access engine and other components. Face Master has a diesel-powered articulated chassis with a permanent 4-wheel drive, fail safe multi disk service brakes with additional fail-safe emergency parking brake. It is most suitable for tunnelling projects to work in gradients. It also has a FOPS and ROPS operator canopy from the perspective of Safety of the operators. Its minimum cabin height is 2.9 meters, which can be raised to 3.4 meters with hydraulic cylinders for comfort of the operators,” informed Petzold and Singh.
The company’s CE certified Model IS 26 concrete spraying machine for tunnelling application is another extremely reliable machine that is also easy to operate and maintain as the electronics have been kept minimum level for working in the Indian Tunnelling conditions. Its hydraulic manipulator and spraying head ensure ease of operation. Standard features include ROPS and FOPS safety cabins, rear view camera for improved visibility, sprayhead with 360-degree rotation,and manipulator with 13.2 meters vertical and 10.2 meters horizontal reach.
GHH is promoting its products along with after sales support wth its in-house channels but may consider appointing dealers who will add value to the sales in future.
