In an online event, GHH India along with its mining contracting subsidiary, GHH Bumi Mining Service, was awarded ‘Best Performing Business Partner’ by Vedanta Group/Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), in the presence of Founder & Executive Chairman Anil Agarwal, Vedanta Resources Limited, Sunil Duggal, CEO, Vedanta Group, and their executives.
GHH Bumi was presented the award for its outstanding performance in all the mining activities including safety, production, and asset optimization at the Zawar Mala mine, where it has been doing contract mining for the last 6 months.
GHH Bumi was established late last year. Since January 2021, the company has been undertaking production and mine development with more than 350 employees at the Zawar Mala mine. The company was given access to more than 20 LHDs, dump trucks, and drilling rigs from the GHH Group for the job.
Dr. Jan Petzold, CEO, GHH Group, on receiving the award from HZL, said: “With this award, the GHH Group stands confirmed as a reliable business partner for HZL. A cooperation that started about 4 years ago with the supply of mining machinery, resulted in our being awarded Mining Contractor and OEM. The award is an incentive to prepare for the second MDO contract with HZL, which is currently under preparation.” He thanked Henry Landman, GM, GHH Bumi, Rajeshwar Singh, MD, GHH India, and his team for achieving the award due to their hard work.
The latest generation of GHH mining equipment, with the new dump trucks MK-42, LHD LF-14 and LF-10, along with two boom drill rigs FM 2.3 from Mine Master are on their way to India and are expected to be on site by the first week of August. GHH Bumi is also preparing for the expansion of the Mochia Balaria Decline Project, where a rapid development proposal is under way.
