CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is an international triennial show which represents an immense unveiling of the newest equipment, technology and product breakthrough in construction industry. Scheduled to be held from March 4 to 8, 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA, the show will feature 2,400 exhibitors showcasing new products and technologies for every major construction industry including asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earthmoving, lifting, mining, utilities and many more. The trade fair will also attract over 130,000 visitors range from contractors, dealers and distributors, service providers, engineers, producers, and among other municipalities.


A comprehensive education program will also take place during the five-day exposition with sessions emphasizing industry issues and trends, management and applied technology. Being the global gathering place for the construction equipment, materials and power transmission/motion control industries, CONEXPO-CON/AGG covers a record-breaking 2.3 million net square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits.

This year, 2014 the show is coming up with several new features including:

This year, the show features a comprehensive education program with more than 110 sessions over 10 subject-matter tracks: aggregates, asphalt, best business management practices, concrete, cranes and rigging, earthmoving and site development, equipment management & maintenance, recycling & preservation, safety & regulations, and workforce development. The education sessions will be offered at varying times to fit attendee schedules, and new ticket packages provide flexibility for more cost savings. In addition, this time it will also be easier than ever to get around at the show, so attendees spend less time searching and more time connecting with the companies and products they want to see.


According to show management, quality, not size, is the goal. A strategic alignment with needs of the industry has led to programs and events geared up towards helping attendees and exhibitors achieve the most value out of their time at the shows.

Terex will showcase a comprehensive range of products and services at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The Terex exhibit is designed to introduce the company's latest products and reinforce its commitment to delivering customer-driven equipment and service solutions for the construction, infrastructure, quarrying, mining, shipping, transportation, refining, energy, utility and manufacturing industries.

The Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), Construction, Cranes, and Materials Processing business segments will showcase new equipment, innovative safety features and unique service solutions. Manufactured by Terex AWP, Genie® branded products such as the Genie SX-180 telescopic boom, the Genie GS™-4069 bi-energy hybrid scissor lift, the Genie GTH™-1544 telehandler and many more, will be on display.

Besides, visitors to CONEXPO exhibition will be able to experience how Terex Construction machinery offers productivity, reliability and efficiency across the range. The Terex stand will showcase machines from across the construction range including the Tier 4i/ Stage IIIB TSR60 skid steer featuring a rated operating capacity of 1,500 lbs (680 kgs) to the largest machine in the compact wheel loader range, the TL120.


Terex Crane division will exhibit its Superlift 3800 crawler crane which has been designed to redefine performance in the 650 t capacity class and is a more than worthy successor to the highly regarded CC 2800-1. Requiring up to 30% less counterweight for long boom erection and complete with new-style cabin and Terex® fall protection system, the Superlift has a maximum lift capacity of 650 t at 12 m and a maximum hook height of 190 m.

Moreover, two more cranes will make their debut: a new, mid-size all terrain crane which specifically addresses the needs of the North American market; and a new class-defining truck mounted crane. All cranes are designed with customer needs in mind and will help them to deliver success.

From the Terex crushing and screening division, Powerscreen will display three new machines: Premiertrak™ 300 jaw crusher, the Powerscreen Trakpactor™ 320SR impact crusher and the Powerscreen Warrior™ 2100 high-capacity mobile screening plant. Terex® Finlay products on display will include two recent model launches in the North American marketplace: the J-1170 jaw crusher and the 684 screen. Whereas Terex® MPS will display the new CRJ3750 high-capacity portable jaw plant, the revolutionary LJ-TSV horizontal screen with variable slope operation, and the new MVP380X cone crusher featuring major enhancements that increase productivity.

Last but not the least Terex Washing Systems will exhibit the FM120BW bucket wheel range of sand classification systems that are highly efficient dewatering units and Terex® Environmental Equipment will exhibit a Biomass Whole Tree Chipper, TBC 430. The TEE Biomass 400 series has three different models and supports customers from biomass plans, logging operations, sawmills, forestry services, site clearing and land development.

LiuGong North America will unveil its 950E excavator and 365B skid steer loader during ConExpo-Con/AGG 2014 besides showcasing wheel loaders, Dressta bulldozers, rollers, skid steers and forklifts.

The 950E excavator, LiuGong's large ton excavator, features a fuel efficient Tier III/Stage IIIA, 375 hp (280 kW) Cummins engine, ideally suited for high production construction applications. The advanced hydraulic system gives the 950E better speed of front end working equipment, while cutting down the hydraulic system's damper loss, for improved working efficiency. It is equipped with world-class components such as Cummins, Kawasaki, Nabtesco and Grammar. The 950E will also feature a LiuGong twin lock PowerLatch quick coupler.

Wirtgen Group will display 41 products that include new asphalt pavers, concrete slipform pavers, cold mills, recyclers, asphalt and soil compactors and mobile crushers. Most of the machines on display will be new i-series products — Tier 4 Interim-compliant equipment with intelligent technology.


The products that would be exhibited include Wirtgen Super 2100-3i with AB 600 TP2 Plus screed (succeeds the Super 2100-2), Vogele Vision 5200-2i paver with AB 600 TV screed, Vogele Vision MT 3000-2i Power Feeder, Hamm H 25i VC single-drum vibrating compactor, Hamm HD 12 VO tandem smooth-drum compactors, Wirtgen W 250i cold mill, Wirtgen W 200 Hi cold mill with hydraulic drum drive, Kleeman MC 110 R EVO mobile jaw crusher, Kleeman MC 110 Z EVO mobile jaw crusher, Kleeman MR 110 ZS EVO II impact crusher, and Kleeman MR 130 Z EVO II impact crusher.
