With a construction market worth over $250 billion, Southeast Asia offers outstanding development potential. From 2017 to 2021, the six countries in the ASEAN zone (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) are expected to enjoy 7.5% annual growth in the construction sector, compared with worldwide growth of 3% over the same period.

Against this promising background, Bangkok will be hosting INTERMAT ASEAN, a trade show for construction and infrastructure and CONCRETE ASIA, the international exhibition for the ASEAN concrete sector from 6-8 September 2018.

To efficiently deliver construction projects whilst safeguarding the competitivity of industry firms, it is crucial to promote, create and develop strong synergies between all industry players: building contractors, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and solutions, service providers, order principals, project owners, etc. INTERMAT ASEAN and CONCRETE ASIA offer a unique platform that brings together all stakeholders from the construction and concrete sectors. On display will be plants and equipment for mining and quarries, earthmoving and civil engineering, solutions and equipment for the concrete sector, lifting and handling, boring and drilling, road building and maintenance, accessories, components and spare parts, demolition and recycling, etc.

INTERMAT ASEAN focuses on five key sectors : Earthmoving & Demolition, Roads, Minerals & Foundations, Building Industry and Lifting, and Handling & Transportation. Providing opportunities to explore the latest trends and to source products, the trade exhibition brings together more than 5,000 leading companies and brands.

At Concrete Asia, the industry can view the latest in concrete, concrete surfaces, decorative concrete, material handling, concrete production, cement, building materials, construction equipment & machinery with the latest technologies and techniques to sustain and grow their business.

The trade shows, supported by Thailand's industry bodies, the Thai Construction Association and the Thai Concrete Association, showcase the latest innovations in response to the region's requirements. Over three days, experts will hold a series of talks and presentations to industry professionals. To draw maximum benefit from the show, visitors can schedule meetings with exhibitors ahead of the event using a matchmaking service provided free of charge by the organisers. At the last edition, the service facilitated 400 such matchings.

A Hosted Buyers Programme combined with networking events during the show will invite top buyers with planned projects and investments. They will be offered a schedule of meetings on exhibitors' stands to make their visit easier and faster.

Isabelle Alfano, Director of the COMEXPOSIUM Group Construction Division and Director of INTERMAT, says: "We are confident that holding CONCRETE ASIA and INTERAMT ASEAN together in 2018 will help deliver the best possible synergies and bring added value to the event's local and regional buyers and visitors."

"INTERMAT ASEAN and CONCRETE ASIA together provide a platform for the industry players to take advantage of the fast-developing building and construction markets in Thailand and Southeast Asia," comments Loy Joon How, GM of IMPACT. "INTERMAT ASEAN has been a good platform to showcase our full range of products and reach out to potential customers," says Danilo Catalucci, Head of Marketing SEA & Japan, CASE Construction Equipment

"We have met a number of new customers and have definitely gained additional exposure into the market through exhibiting here," avers Malcolm T. Williams, MD, Promech Resources Co., Ltd – Distributor for Manitou Group.
