NHAI to award 6,036-km NHs length in current fiscal

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set ambitious targets for the current financial year, aiming to award highway projects with a length of 6036 km and construct highway stretches with a combined length of 5,060 km. This is up from 6003 km of highway projects awarded and 4,882 km of highway stretches constructed in the previous financial year.

The NHAI has also earmarked Rs 1.62 trillion for the development of national highway infrastructure in FY24, up from Rs 1.58 trillion in FY23. The additional funding will come from project-based financing and private investment.

The NHAI's ambitious targets are a sign of the government's commitment to improving the country's road infrastructure.
