NHAI expedites Rs 2,857-cr highway project in Punjab
After overcoming delays, NHAI expedites the construction of the Ludhiana-Ropar Greenfield expressway project, entailing a significant investment of Rs 2,857.14 crore. The construction of the 37.7-km stretch under Package 1 is progressing rapidly, achieving 6% completion within the Ludhiana district jurisdiction. Land acquisition for the remaining 47.24-km stretch is currently underway. Notably, 30.7-km of the required land for Package 1 has been acquired, with the acquisition process for the remaining 7-km stretch ongoing. Package 1, with a capital cost of Rs 1,368.91 crore, includes both civil costs and land acquisition expenses. The project's Package 2 involves a 47.24-km stretch, with a capital cost of Rs 1,488.23 crore, and land acquisition is underway for the designated 337.27 hectares.
