MoRTH launches Rs 700-cr road infra projects in Maharashtra
Union Road Transport and Highway Minister, Nitin Gadkari, kick-started the construction of 11 flyovers and subways worth Rs 700 crore by the Maharail in Maharashtra. These upcoming projects, approved for 100% funding under the Setu Bandhan Yojana, aim to facilitate seamless vehicular movement and will be fast-tracked for timely completion. Stressing the significance of converting railway gates into flyovers for public safety, Gadkari outlined plans to execute similar projects worth Rs 16,000 crore annually across the state. Additionally, he, along with the state CM, recently inaugurated nine railway crossing flyovers valued at Rs 440 crore. These new initiatives are expected to enhance efficiency, save time, and benefit the local population. Maharashtra's robust infrastructure, skilled workforce, and advanced communication facilities have attracted substantial investments, with the state utilizing innovative technologies and promptly addressing project execution challenges. As a result, multinational companies are increasingly choosing Maharashtra as a preferred destination for domestic and foreign investments.
