Mumbai grapples with potholes as heavy rains hit city

the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)
Complaints of potholes have resurfaced in Mumbai as heavy rains continue to lash the city, with the Western Express Highway being particularly affected. According to civic data, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has received 93 complaints between June 1 and 30, of which approximately 49 have been addressed. The BMC is employing rapid gardening concrete and reactive asphalt techniques to fill the potholes, allowing roads to be reopened to traffic in a matter of hours. However, critics argue that concrete roads do not guarantee a pothole-free solution. The BMC assures that efforts are underway to address all pothole complaints promptly.
