Himachal Pradesh Secures Rs 239.45 Crore CRIF Approval for Two Road Upgradation Projects
The approved works include the upgradation of the Chhaila–Neripul–Yashwant Nagar–Kumarhatti Road at a cost of Rs 203.52 crore and the upgradation of the remaining 16-km stretch of the Tikkar–Jarol–Khamadi Road at a cost of Rs 35.93 crore.
Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh said the approval followed sustained coordination between the State Government, Public Works Department and the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The sanction for the remaining 16-km section of the Tikkar–Jarol–Khamadi Road will complete the entire road corridor. The project is expected to improve connectivity for residents, farmers and horticulturists, particularly in the Rampur Assembly Constituency.
The Chhaila–Neripul–Yashwant Nagar–Kumarhatti Road serves as an important transport link for the apple-growing regions of Theog, Kotkhai, Jubbal, Rohru and Chopal.
Its upgradation is expected to facilitate faster and safer transportation of apples and other horticultural produce, reduce logistics and transportation costs, improve regional connectivity and support the rural economy.
