JCB India contributes ₹1 crore to help flood ravaged Kerala

In order to minimize the suffering of the flood ravaged masses of Kerala, the employees of the JCB India Limited, a leading Earthmoving and Construction Equipment manufacturer of the country, contributed ₹28 lakh for relief and rebuilding work in Kerala. The cheque made in favour of the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund was handed over to the Hon’ble Minister for Industries and Sports of the state, E P Jayarajan, by the JCB India team recently. The cash contribution is in addition to ₹75 lakh support being extended in the form of the men and machines. The company has already deployed 30 JCB machines to carry out reconstruction and rebuilding work in districts of Palakkad, Malappuram, Ernakulam and Alappuzha thereby helping the local administration in rescue and rehabilitating flood victims and helping the state and central agencies engaged in rebuilding the public infrastructure.

JCB India has always been at the forefront in supporting the local administration and community during natural disasters of such a magnitude. With this employee contribution and the deployment of 30 JCB machines, JCB India is committed to the rebuilding efforts in Kerala with a net contribution of over ₹1 crore.

Commenting on the commendable services being carried out by the state administration, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, JCB India Limited, Vipin Sondhi, said that the State Government is very admirably and relentlessly working round the clock to bring back the State to a semblance of normality and by extending the package worth ₹1 crore, JCB India is contributing towards the rebuilding of the state as the company is working as a team with the local administration and hope to see that the people of Kerala are benefitted in this hour of crisis in every possible manner.
