IRB Infra became the lowest bidder for ₹2,193.23-cr road project

IRB Infrastructure Developers (IRB) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a project in West Bengal and is now entering into the eastern region of the country. The project pertains to a 6-laning of the National corridor NH-19 from Dankuni to Palsit stretch worth 63.83 km involving an investment of ₹2,193.23 crore. Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman & MD, IRB Infrastructure Developers informed that the project is based on the design, build, finance, operate & transfer (DBFOT) model with a concession period of 17 years including the construction period of 910 days and will get tolling rights from the appointed date. The company continues to look for opportunities to expand and diversify its presence. It is committed to build world-class highway infrastructure for the development of the eastern region and to bring quality connectivity with the rest of the country. IRB Infra had bagged India's largest TOT project of Mumbai-Pune Expressway of ₹8,262 crore and has already paid the first tranche of ₹6,500 crore as an upfront sub-concession fee to the MSRDC.
