Union Minister reviews progress of National Maritime Heritage Complex in Gujarat

Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, along with other dignitaries, reviewed the project process of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) in Lothal, Gujarat. An MoU was signed with the Ministry of Defence for the development of a Naval gallery inside the complex.

The NMHC, a major project of the Sagarmala Programme, aims to showcase India's rich maritime heritage and will be the world's biggest Maritime Museum complex. The Gujarat government has allocated land, provided water supply, and contributed funds for the project. NMHC, spanning 400 acres, is planned to become a world-class tourist destination with various museums and theme parks. The project aims to elevate India's maritime sector and educate visitors about its heritage.
