Odisha govt approves 11 industrial projects worth Rs 3,266-cr

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of the Odisha government has given the green light to 11 industrial projects worth Rs 3,266 crore. These projects, spanning Balasore, Bolangir, Kalhandi, Khurda, and Jajpur districts, are expected to provide significant employment opportunities and drive economic growth in the region.

Among the approved projects, Himadri Speciality Chemical plans to establish its first chemical manufacturing unit in the state, investing over Rs 980 crore. Nestle will set up a food processing unit with an investment of over Rs 890 crore. Colortone Garments, IDVB Recycling Operations, Purv Packaging, and RDB Rasayans are also among the companies venturing into new manufacturing units, showcasing investments ranging from Rs 59 crore to Rs 318 crore.

Additionally, IFGL Refractories and Beekay Utkal Steel are expanding their operations in the state, while Nisum Consulting secured approval for an IT & ESDM project with an investment of Rs 200 crore.
